Jonesgen: I have a Clayton Davidson married to Elmira Sheffield in Lauderdale Co. Al. They were in McNairy Co. by 1854. Also Martha Ann Hicks born about 1825 in NC. She was married to a William Hammonds and was on the 1870 census. I think she was 1st married to a Mitchell. Any bells ringing.
