McNairy Researchers, By 1822 Charles Cagle was living in that part of Hardin Co., Tn that was to become McNairy Co. in 1823. He was appointed by the Hardin Co. Court to lay out and mark the best road from Browns Ferry on the Tennessee River to Able Oxfords residence. In 1837, Charles bought 87 acres of land in McNairy from Daniel W. Martindale for $800 and sold the same property the following year to Archibald C. Houston for $1000. Does anyone know any of these people or where this property was located? What happened to Charles Cagle? David
