I'm researching Taylor and Ramer families of McNairy County, 1820s onward. Meredith Taylor supposedly came to McNairy County from NC(?). He had sons John Allen Taylor, Frank Taylor, Clay Taylor, William Taylor, Jim Taylor, perhaps others. Born either in TN or NC(?). John Allen Taylor married Elizabeth "Betsy" Ramer in 1843. Their children were Melvin, Jenny (married Foster), George, William Zachary (married 1. Rose Ann Carpenter 2. Dora Robinson), Lucinda (married Samuel Blankenship), Margaret (married Jno.
