Independent Appeal, 16 Jan 1997: Pauline Fariss, 85, of Adamsville, died January 8, 1997 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis. Services were held at 11:00a.m. Saturday in Shackelford Funeral Home chapel in Adamsville. Burial was in Adamsville Cemetery. She was a retired McNairy County teacher, taught for 35 years, a member of McNairy County Local Teachers Association and Adamsville First Presbyterian Church. No survivors.
