I'm searching for the parents and family of William C. PHILLIPS who married Lucinda ELLIS. According to the 1860 census both were born in Tennessee and living in McNairy Co. in the Mud Creek P.O. area. They gave their ages as 27. He was shown as a tenant farmer. They had five children: James, 17, Robert, 10, Marion, 7, Almeda, 5, Amanda, 2. In the 1870 census the family was living in the Purdy P.O. area. By this time James and Robert were no longer living at home. Three more children were shown: William, 9, Rebbeca, 6 and Rufus, 4. Can anyone make a tie to this family?
