    1. [TNMCNAIR-L] "3rd District" - 1850 & 1860 Census question
    2. Brian K Luginbill
    3. Hello, I am researching the William CASE family in McNairy Co. Some of the known collateral lines are SHAW, JACKSON, ROWLAND and HIGHFILL. The CASE family appears on the 1830, 1840 and 1850 MCNairy Co. census records. After that, most of the family moved to Polk Co., MO, except for William's son Perry CASE and his family. I would be glad to exchange information with anyone else researching these families. I also have a question I hope someone can answer. In the 1850 and 1860 McNairy Co. census, the CASE family is enumerated in the "3rd District", with no Post Office given. Does anyone know where the "3rd District" was at that time, or how I could find where it was located within the county? I would like to narrow down the area in which my relatives lived to help further my research. Thank you, in advance, for any assistance. Sincerely, Cheryl F. Luginbill timetraveler@apex2000.net
