Julie, You may already know this but . . .. Your Pumphrey Malone who married Nancy Wells and Polly Runnells (supposedly) seems to have been the son of John Malone and Ann Blackwell. John Malone seems to have been the son of Daniel Malone and Elizabeth Staples. This does sound right???? Anne Blackwell seems to have been the daughter of John Blackwell and his wife Frances Pompfret. Frances Pompfret seems to be the daughter of John Pomfret and Ann Hunt. John Blackwell's parents appear to be William Blackwell and Mary Marshall, dau of William Marshall. This John Malone seems to have had some connection to a Deloney Malone but not sure that it is the same Deloney whose widow later appears in McNairy Co., TN. This older Deloney Malone seems to have died about 1834 in Sumner Co., Tn. This older Deloney seems to have been the son of Isham Malone and Judith Cole who is also the predecessor of my husband's Daniel Malone of Union Co., SC., and whose descendants were in Tippah Co., MS., at some later time.
