Barbara, My guess is that it would be Corinth, MS for a hospital. Savannah had a hospital in the 50s or 60s but McNairy Hospital wasn't built until mid 60s. Jackson is more than 40 miles away: Corinth is 15 or so. Even now many people go to Corinth to orthodontists and specialists. At Selmer some folks go to Jackson, but the south more frequently goes to Corinth. Corinth is in Alcorn County.
