Mr. Wyatt was a carpet installer. Mr. Wyatt was preceded in death by his wife, Vickie Moffett Wyatt, and his parents, Charles E. and Virginia Morene Tacker Wyatt. He leaves behind his companion, Lisa Phillips; two sons, Chad Wyatt & wife Ginger of Knoxville, TN and Brandon Wyatt of Adamsville; three sisters, Judy Martin Hendrix of Selmer, TN, Peggy Mathis of Adamsville, and Debbie Coats of Hornsby; one brother, Tommy Wyatt of Adamsville; two grandchildren, Bailey and Saylor and three step-grandchildren, Kyle, Kara, and McKenna. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wed., Oct. 20th at Shackelford Chapel in Adamsville with ministers Jeff Carter, Earl Phelps and Gary Henline officiating. Burial followed at Stantonville Cemetery. ................ VERNIE MARTIN, 84, of Bethel Springs, TN, died on Oct. 24, 2004 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Mr. Martin was a retired farmer, member of Maggie Jones Methodist Church, an Army Veteran of WW II, a member of the VFW, and Modern Woodman. He is survived by his wife, Mary Smith Martin. He also leaves behind one son, Gilford M. Martin of Bethel Springs, two sisters, Mary Jane Glover of Johnson City, TN and Ola Mae Halbrook of Virginia and one half-brother, Paul Tacker of Indiana. Burial followed at Mars Hill Cemetery in Adamsville, TN. ................ FAIRLEE BURGESS AMOS, 77, died on Oct. 20, 2004 at Baptist memorial Hospital East in Memphis, TN. Mrs. Amos was a member of Forrest Hill Church of Christ in Selmer, TN. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Amos is survived by her husband, Z. T. Amos. She also leaves five daughter, Vonnella Bomer of Memphis, Viennese Yarbrough of Jackson, MS, Khogle Walls of Memphis, Novena Wyke of Selmer, and Orlanda Amos of Selmer; one son, Serfin Amos of Selmer; two sisters, Robbie Prather of Paineville, OH and Billie Sue Luster of Jackson; one brother, Welma Burgess of Jackson; seven grandchildren and four gr-grandchildren. IRENE LYNCH KIESTLER, 84, of Selmer, TN, died on Oct. 17, 2004 at Tri-County Convalescent Home in Adamsville, TN. She was the co-owner of Kiestler Furniture Co. in Selmer and a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. Mrs. Kiestler was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Elco Kiestler and by her parents, Benjamin Arthur and Nora Blair Lynch. She also leaves behind one daughter, Waynetta Freeman Jones of Southaven, MS, two sons, James Kiestler and Joe Allen Kiestler, both of Selmer, one sister, Paulene Naylor of Finger, two brothers, Ernest Lynch of Memphis and Robert Lynch of Finger, five grandchildren, and four gr-grandchildren. Mr. Whitten was a farmer and truck driver and was Pentecostal in belief. He is survived by two daughters, Clara Felts of Millington, and Georgia Kilpartick of Memphis, TN; one son, Dalton Whitten of Stantonville; one sister Shirley Spencer of Selmer, TN; and eight grandchildren. Burial followed at Bethesda Cemetery in Selmer. ................ JOHN THOMAS "TOMMY" PETTIGREW, 60, of Bolivar, died Mon., Oct. 18, 2004 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. The husband of Patricia Lee Cunningham Pettigrew, who survives, he was the owner and operator of Pleasant Run Grocery in Bolivar. Mr. Pettigrew was born Sept. 14, 1944 in McNairy County, the son of the late Troy Pettigrew and Eloise Flanagan Pettigrew and had lived in McNairy, Madison, Hardin, and Hardeman Counties. In addition to his wife, whom he married on June 14, 1964, his survivors include one daughter, Tracy Bond of Pickwick; one sister, Mrs. Jim Freeman of Pickwick Dam and two grandsons, Buck and Bailey Bond. His son, Kris Pettigrew, preceded him in death. The family request that memorials be directed to the First Baptist Church of Counce Building Fund. ................ HERBERT FRANKLIN RICHARDS, 78, died on Oct. 22, 2004 at his daughter's home in Olive Branch, MS. Mr. Richards was a Veteran of WW II and was a Baptist in belief. He was a former jewelry store owner and spent 42 years in the trucking industry. His memberships include Masons, Shriners, Scottish Rites, VFW, and Teamsters Local 667. He was also an avid hunter and went by the CB handle of Little Richard - K-JX3102. Mr. Richards was preceded in death by his parents, Robert McKinely and Lottie Grantham Richards; one brother, James Ross Pearson and one sister Verondia Poindexter. He is survived by his wife, Marie Richards, one daughter, Pamela Victor of Olive Branch; two sisters, Violet Hacker of Selmer and Vivian McCormack of Cleveland, TN; four brothers, Bob Richards of Germantown, Harold Richards of Savannah, Jerry Richards and Ronnie Richards, both of Memphis, TN; three grandchildren, Natalie Yarbrough, Richae Price and Paul Victor, III; three gr-grandchildren, Troy Yarborugh, Brittany Yarbrough, and Tyler Yorbrough, along with many furry friends, especially "Skip". Funeral services were held on Sun., Oct. 24th at 1:30 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel with Ministers Jerry Richards and Tim Price officiating. Burial followed at Lake Hill Memorial Gardens. Mr. Gentry served in the Army and Navy. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elbert Gray and Ruby Mae Talent Gentry. Mr. Gentry is survived by his wife, MoriKay Gentry, along with five brothers and two sisters. She was a retired beautician. Ms. Forsythe leaves behind one son, Corey Forsythe of Adamsville; four sisters, Judy Osment, Sherry Harper, Elizabeth Jones and Carol Banks, all of Nashville, TN; two brothers, Mike Jones of Whitehouse, TN and Harold Jones of Nashville. Mr. Inman was a retired inspector for Catapillar in Peoria, IL and was a member of Huntingdon Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Inman is survived by one daughter, Elaine Smith of Munford, TN; two sisters, Marie Shelton of Selmer, TN and Dorothy Nichols of Corinth, MS; five brothers, Loyce Inman, Thomas Inman, J. D. Inman, and Larry Inman all of Selmer, TN and Jerry Inman of Guys, TN; along with several nieces, nephews, gr-nieces and gr-nephews. Ms. Gray was a homemaker and a Baptist in belief. She was preceded in death by one son, Wayne Gray and her parents, Ovie and Estle Rickman Landreth. Ms. Gray also leaves behind one son, Bily Gray of Stantonville, TN; two sisters, Shelby Jean Meek of Bethel Springs, TN and Myrtie Hurley of Medina, TN; one brother, Bud Landreth of Adamsville, TN; three grandchildren, Amanda Freeman of Enville, TN, Lachelle Gary of Adamsville, and Vance Gray of Atlanta, GA; two gr-grandchildren, Justin Treece and Josh Treece, both of Enville.
