Charlie Cooper officiating. Burial followed in Danville Cemetery. McMillan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Moore died Tues., Mar. 9, 2004 at his residence following an extended illness. The member of Rienzi Baptist Church was owner of Triple M Transport, and he loved farming. He was preceded in death by his parents, the Rev. James Henry and Wesley Pauline Moore, formerly of Selmer; one daughter, Dana Moore; one brother, Paul Moore; one niece, Vicki Ann Bishop; and one nephew, Jimmy Wayne Moore, Jr. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Cathy Johnsey Moore; one daughter, Lori Leigh Moore of Rienzi; one son, Brandon Wesley Moore of Rienzi; one sister-in-law, Sue Hively and her husband Bill of Corinth, MS; two grandsons, Taylor Wesley Moore and Kirkland Allen Moore; and several nieces and nephews. ............. MACKIE L. BURNS of Selmer, 87, died Mar. 12, 2004 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Mrs. Burns was a homemaker. She was a member of Pebble Hill Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Abe and Elvin Emmons Lipford; her husband, Charlie H. Burns; a daughter, Marion Kay Burns; and a granddaughter, Molly Burns. She is survived by two sons, James A. Burns of Selmer and Jessie Paul Burns of Corinth, MS; a brother, Rayford Lipford of Florence, AL; and a sister, Martha Durrell Riley of Corinth, MS. She had six grandchildren and twelve gr-grandchildren. Services were held at 1 p.m. on Sun., Mar. 14th at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel, with Minister Rob Burns officiating. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Harold Dodge; a son, Billy Wilson of Bay City, MI; and a daughter, Kathy Wilson of Bay City, MI. She had five grandchildren, Tarisa Amos, Talina Wilson, Timothy Bruzewski, Shelby Wilson, and Shawn Wilson. She had one gr-grandchild, Heidi Garner. Services were held at 1 p.m. on Wed., Mar. 17th at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel, with Minister Harold King and D. C. Melton officiating. Mrs. Garrison was a retired elementary school teacher, after 40 years of service, and an active community leader. She was a member of West Shiloh Baptist Church and the Retired Teachers Association. She worked on the McNairy County Regional Hospital Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Annie Kennedy Tedford; her husband, Allen H. Garrison; and a granddaughter, Robin Ashe. She is survived by a son, Charlie Garrison of Stantonville; two daughters, Doris Ashe and Kay Raines, both of Stantonville; and two sisters, Gracie Burks and Lois Naylor, both of Stantonville. She had seven grandchildren, twelve gr- grandchildren, and one gr-gr-grandchild. He was a World War II Navy Veteran. He was retired from the Teamsters Union. He was a member of Selmer Golf and County Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, John DeWitt Fitzgerald and Hattie Clement Fitzgerald; and his wife, Margaret Laverne Fitzgerald. He is survived by a son, Larry Joe Fitzgerald of Munford; a daughter, Dorothy Becklar of Mableton, GA; a brother, Max Henry Fitzgerald of Bethel Springs; and a sister, Mattie Lee McAllister of Southaven, MS. He had four grandchildren and two gr-grandchildren. Services were held at 11 a.m. on Fri., Mar. 12th at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel, with Minister Mike Ulmer officiating. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Stone; her parents, G. W. and Elsie Chandler Guthrie; a son, John Edward Stone, a daughter, Edith Louise Stone; a grandson, Orphis Adell Martin, Jr.; a granddaughter, Katherine Thompson; three sisters, Rosie Velmer Guthrie, Tressie Edna Perkins, Elsie Lorine Reynolds; and seven brothers, William, Talmage, James, Elbert, Burton, Earl, and George Guthrie. She was preceded in death by her parents, D. C. and Birdie Cox Kiestler; one sister, Dovie McNeil; and three brothers, Lester Kiestler, Elbert Kiestler, and Wayne Kiestler. She is survived by her husband, A. J. Mitchell; three daughters, Sandra Dale Daily, Dottie Darnall, and Shirley Wyatt, all of Memphis.
