I am looking for information on Martha J. D. Hurst. She was known as ``Mattie`` I am trying to determine who is the father of Martha J. D. Hurst. I have no information on her birth date or birth place. Martha J. D. Hurst was married to Francis ``Franklin`` Y. Brooks on the 25Jul 1866 in McNairy County TN by R. W. Thompson. It looks like M. G. follows Mr. Thompsons name. Would that mean Magistrate ?? I have no information as to her date of death. I beleive she died in or close to Purdy, TN. Thank you for your assistance. Pat

I am not sure about the Hurst family, but I am pretty sure that "MG" stands for "Minister of the Gospel.
