    2. Most of the State Archives Libraries will have these books. Also, if your ancestor has a military stone it should have his unit & rank on it. If you live near a regional National Archives they can help you. The form is called "Order for copies of Veterans records" the place to write is: Textual Reference Branch(NWDT1) National Archives and Records Administration 7th and Pennsylvania Avenue NW Washington, DC 20408 the number to call: 202-501-5170 You could call them and ask for help. I believe this place is for Union Soldiers only. I had to write to the Arkansas Archives for a CSA veteran that signed up in Arkansas. Hope this helps.
