She was a retired teacher of the McNairy County School System where she taught for 44 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Selmer. She was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth "Connie" Sharp. She is survived by two grandchildren, Wendy Rickman and Michael Sharp of Selmer, care giver Miss Sherry Floyd of Selmer, and one sister Essie Gilbert of Houston, TX. Also surviving are three gr-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Sun. at 1:30 p.m. with burial following at Mt. His brother Howard Lowrance proceeded him in death. Mr. Lowrance was a veteran of WWII and a retired employee of Kraft Foods Inc. Memphis. He will be laid to rest in the National Military Cemetery in Pegram.
