    3. http://www.cem.va.gov actually you can short cut the home page: http://gravelocator.cem.va.gov/j2ee/servlet/NGL_v1 This site now has a search engine for persons buried in veterans cemeteries. It will be a slow go for several days as their servers must be maxed out with requests. I'm sure it will be better after the publicity calms down. For your information, this site does not include all veteran burial sites. Corinth National Veteran's Cemetery is included. Shiloh National Military Cemetery is not. So, it is only those cemeteries under the direction of the Dept. of Veteran's Affairs and some state veteran's cemeteries. Shiloh is part of the NPS. It can be found at http://www.nps.gov/shil/ If you decide to try the pages in the next few weeks, be prepared to wait and wait, even with a high speed connection. It reminds me of the first days of the Ellis Island database. This is the information you will get. It helped me because his service records cannot be located and I did not have any dates related to his service in WWI, except for letters he wrote. I note here that the date of interment is incorrect. He died during summer training for the Corinth National Guard at Camp Beauregard near Alexandria, LA. on the 20th but was buried in Corinth on Sunday the 22nd. Have no idea why the data is incorrect. Just be aware of the possibility.
