Forsyth for 61 years, she was a member of the Gravel Hill Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a member of the Southern Baptist Women's Missionary Union. She was a former union steward for the Amalgamated Clothing & Textile Workers. She was a retired machine operator for Levi-Strauss & Company. She was preceded in death by her parents, Perry R. and Florence Baker Smith; a sister, Evelyn Wiysel; and four brothers, Moreland Smith, Acie Eugene Smith, Landon Smith and John Earnest Smith. She is survived by her husband, R. F. Forsyth; two daughters, Jimmie Forsyth and Tommie Smith, both of Selmer; five sons, Robert Forsyth of Selmer, Richard Forsyth of Kossuth, MS, Greg Forsyth of Guys, Ronald P. Forsyth of Ocean Springs, MS, William Hailey Forsyth of Jackson; two sisters, Mary Alice Cambre of Gautier, MS and Dean Fields of Corinth, MS; and two brothers, Glenn Smith of Raleigh, NC and George W. Smith of Stantonville. She had thirteen grandchildren, Teresa Roberts, Brandon Forsyth, Shanna Renfrow, Stephanie Moffitt, Amber Nelms, Lindsay Forsyth, Ross Forsyth, Stacy Brooks, Kirby Smith, Annessa Marshall, Tina Boyd, Matt Mauney and Phillip Mauney; and eight gr-grandchildren, Justin, Logan, and Allison Roberts, Ainsley Renfrow, Peyton and Andrew Nelms, Ashley and Austin Marshall. Services were held at 3 p.m. on Sun., Mar. 28th at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel, with Clergyman Maurice Pinkston officiating. Burial followed at Falcon Cemetery in Selmer. Active pallbearers were her nephews, while grandsons and gr-grandsons served as honorary pallbearers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Falcon Cemetery Fund. .............. ALTA PATTERSON MURRY of Selmer, 95, died Mar. 26, 2004 at McNairy Regional Hospital. Mrs. Murry was a homemaker. She was a member of Bethel Springs Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Montie and Mary Saunders Patterson; and her husband, Ambrous Earl Murry. She is survived by a son, Floyd Murry of Selmer; two daughters, Jo Ann Easley of Savannah and Katie Sowell of Selmer; and a brother, Barnie Patterson of Memphis. She had six grandchildren. SHERMAN "BIGBOY" JERNIGAN of Ramer, 78, died Mar. 27, 2004 at Tri-County Convalescent Home. Mr. Jernigan was a truck driver for East-West Motor Freight. He was a member of Selmer Moose Lodge. He was an Army Korean War Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Finley Jernigan and Irene Webb Jernigan; a sister, Willie Lee McMahan; and two brothers, Robert Jernigan and Herman Jernigan (his twin). He is survived by four nieces, Marilon Wilson of Ramer, Jane Ray and Martha McMahan, both Pocahontas, and Judy McMahan of Selmer. A graveside service were held at 1 p.m. on Mon., Mar. 29th at Wyatt Cemetery in Hornsby, with Bro. Orville McMahan officiating. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Holley King of Selmer; a daughter, Karen King of Selmer; and a sister, Joy Elizabeth King of LaPorte, TX. She was a member of Primitive Baptist Church and of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, H. H. Reddin. She is survived by three daughters, Laverne Reddin Shannon of Stantonville, Oleta Reddin Pruett of Sardis, and Emma Reddin Laws of Northport, AL; and a sister, Clara Helton of Murfreesboro. She had five grandchildren, seven gr-grandchildren, and one gr-gr-grandchild. Services were held at 1 p.m. on Sat., Mar. 27th at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Adamsville. Windom, and Charles Windom; and a daughter, Phyllis Denise Windom. He is survived by his wife, Lizzie Mae Windom of Tupelo, MS; two sons, Gregory Lamar Windom and Jarvis Tyrone Windom, both of Tupelo, MS; four brothers, Leroy Windom of Chicago, IL, Lupene Windom of Hazelcrest, IL, James Windom of Bronx, NY, and Bobby Windom of Guys; five sisters, Grace Bowden, Sarah Roberson, and Luella Stevenson, all of Chicago, IL, Carrie Norman and Annie Windom of Corinth, MS; and a sister-in-law, Magaline Windom of Corinth. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Sisk; a daughter, Eugenia (Cissy) Sisk; and two brothers, Johnny Sisk and Teddy Sisk. He is survived by a companion, Kathy Gorgeon; three sons, Jeff Sisk of Selmer, Tim Sisk and Pat Kelley, both of Foley, AL; a daughter, Paula Sisk of Selmer; his mother, Essie Murphy Sisk of Selmer; a brother, Leon Sisk of Corinth, MS; and a sister, Jenise Smith of Finger. He is survived by his father, Paul Wayne Treece of Columbia; his mother, Martha Griswell Treece of Adamsville; his wife, Freida Treece; a son, Hunter Treece of Adamsville; a brother, Stanley Treece of Adamsville; and a sister, Sherry Brown and husband Kevin of Tuscaloosa, AL. She had ten grandchildren and eight gr-grandchildren. Services were held at 11 a.m. on Tues., Mar. 30th at Christian Assembly United Pentecostal Church in Adamsville, with Bro. W. D.
