Mrs. Cargill was retired from the Accounting Department at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. She was also a member of the Advent Presbyterian Church in Cordova. She is survived by her husband, Warren Cargill, one daughter, Suzanne Gagliardi of Farragut, one son, Ronnie Cargill, one sister, Onnova Regenold of Highlands, NC, one brother, J.C. Pounds of Selma, AL, two granddaughter, Cara Hollingsworth and Gina Suzanne Gagliardi, and two grandsons, Gabriel Javin Gagliardi and Mark Christian Gagliardi. Mrs. Hurt was born on April 28, 1933 in Mason Hall, the daughter of the late Chesley Baker and Edith Roden Baker. Mrs. Hurt was a member of First Baptist Church of Selmer and taught the Vota Vita Sunday School Class for many years. She was the director of Human Resources and Public Relations of Methodist Healthcare McNairy Hospital for over 30 years. Mr. Hurt served as liaison for the Methodist Healthcare McNairy Hospital Chaplains Assoc. and the Hospital's Ladies Auxiliary. She served on the Blood Procurement Committee for Lifeline of Jackson for the McNairy Hospital and was a member of the Leadership McNairy Co. class of 1994. Mrs. Hurt is survived by her husband of 48 years, Joe Hurt, Jr. of Selmer, two sons, Mike Hurt and wife Yvonne of Jackson and Keith Hurt and wife Stephanie of Clarksdale, Miss, one daughter Donna Atkinson and husband Rex of Selmer, two brothers, Jimmy Baker of Lexington and Marshal Baker of Dyersburg and four grandchildren, Michael Hurt, Laura Grace Hurt, Grant Smallwood and Justin Atkinson.
