Look ing for information on Hampton Wade who moved to McNairy from Maury in the 1840's. Hampton was married to an Elizabeth and I believe he came to McNairy with his daughter, Anna Katherine Dearen with whom he and Elizabeth were living in 1850. In 1860 Hampton was living with his son Robert, Elizabeth was not listed in the census. I am trying to find out if Hampton left a will. I am trying to find out the parents of a Clement Wade who lived in Maury near Hampton in the 1830 census. Both Clement and Hampton are recurring family names form the Wades of Halifax County, Va in the 1700's. There was a Hampton Wade who married an Elizabeth in June of 1807 in Halifax, Va. I have seen documents that say he moved to Tennessee but did not give location. Clement is my gggrandfather. He was buried in Shelbyville in 1884. Harvey Wade hrvwade@yahoo.com
