    3. Appeared in the Independent Appeal Newspaper, Wed., Feb. 16, 2005 CHARLES FREEMAN JONES, 76, of Selmer, TN, passed away on Feb. 9, 2005, at McNairy Regional Hospital. He was a member of Union Grove United Methodist Church, a retired saw smith owner, and a United States Marine Veteran of World War II. Mr. Freeman was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Elihu & Mary Lillian Michie Jones. He is survived by his wife, Patsy Jones; three sons, Carl Douglas Jones of CA, John David Jones of Little Rock, AR, and Tommy Lester Jones of Orlando, FL; seven grandchildren and eight gr-grandchildren. Services were Sat., Feb.12th, at 1 p.m. at Union Grove United Methodist Church with John Holcomb and Robert Jetton officiating. Burial followed in Union Grove Cemetery in Selmer. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer were in charge of the arrangements. Any memorial contributions are requested to be donated to the American Lung Association or American Heart Association. ………………………………………….. TRUMAN J. FOWLER, 59, of Michie, TN, passed away on Feb. 11, 2005, at his residence. He was a member of Acton Church of Christ and a machinist at Caterpillar. Mr. Fowler was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Lena Gray Fowler; one son, Mike Fowler; one sister, Alma Gray; and six brothers, L. G. Fowler, Oliver Fowler, Otis Fowler, Alton Lambert, Jimmy Lambert, and Kenneth Lambert. He is survived by his wife, Janice Hamlin Fowler, two sons, Eric Fowler and wife, Patty, of Ramer, TN, and Mark Fowler of Michie; five sisters, Faye Massengill of Kossuth, MS, Shirley Walker of Meridian, MS, Martha (Nega) Lipford, Eula Thacker, and Madie Thacker, all of Michie; one brother, Thomas Fowler of Michie; three grandchildren, Peyton, Landon, and Andrew Fowler. Services were Sun., Feb.13th, at 2 p.m. at the Acton Church of Christ with Malcom George, Mike Eaton and Charles Leonard officiating. Burial followed in the Acton Community Cemetery in Acton. APRIL RENA DAVIS and infant son, JULIAN MICHAEL GIBSON, passed away on Feb. 11, 2005, at McNairy Regional Hospital. April Davis was 19, a homemaker, and a Baptist in belief. Miss Davis is survived by her parents, father Danny Ray Davis of Henderson, TN, mother, Angela Smith McKee and step-father, James McKee, of Finger, TN; father of son, Michael Ray Gibson of Selmer, TN; grandparents, Marshal (Boe) & Lucille Smith of Bethel Springs, Shelby Jean Smith of Lexington and Linda Darlene Franklin of Finger, TN; one sister, Heather Elizabeth Davis of Finger; and two brothers, Dustin Ray Davis of Henderson and Bryan Keith Davis of Finger. Services were Mon., Feb.14th, at 3:30 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel with Ken Kitchen officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Bethel Springs. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer were in charge of the arrangements. ………………………………………….. HENRY LEE WATSON, 92, of Michie, TN, passed away on Feb. 12, 2005, at McNairy Regional Hospital. He was retired farmer. Mr. Watson was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Brown Watson; one sister, Persilor Hockaday; and one brother, Johnnie Watson. He is survived by five daughters, Mary Howell of Bolivar, Dorothy Lee Watson of Michie, Martha Rippie of Adamsville, TN Rachel English of Michie, and Kathy Oliver of Bethel Springs; one son, Henry Watson of Pickwick Dam; one sister, Alean Whitaker of Selmer, TN; one brother, Floyd Watson of Michie; nine grandchildren and nine gr-grandchildren. Services were Mon., Feb.14th, at 3:30 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Pebble Hill Cemetery in Michie.
