    3. Appeared in the Independent Appeal Newspaper, Wed., 11-10-04 RUBY WILLIAMS GAGE TALLEY, 97, formerly of Memphis, died on Sun., Oct. 31, 2004 in Dallas, GA. She was a homemaker. Ms. Talley was a member of Alta Woods Presbyterian Church in Jackson, MS and a former member of First Baptist Church in Memphis. She was a graduate of Bellhaven College in Jackson, MS. She was preceded in death by Everett Lee Gage and Roy Talley. Ms. Talley is survived by two daughters, Rebecca G. Massey of Carterville, GA, and Emily Ludt of Pearl, MS; one son, Raymond W. Gage of Lumberton, NC; one sister, Pauline W. Taylor of Denver, CO, nine grandchildren and fourteen gr-grandchildren. Graveside services for Ms. Talley were held at 2:30 p.m. on Thurs., Nov. 4th at Oak Hill Cemetery in Selmer. Memorial Park Funeral Home in Memphis, TN was in charge of the arrangements. The family requests that any memorials be directed to Bellhaven College in Jackson, MS. ...... BILLY JOE BOYD, 69, of Adamsville, TN, died on Sat., Nov. 6, 2004 at his residence. He was a member of Sinner's Hope Church and a retired machine set-up technician for General Electric. Mr. Boyd was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin Boyd and Elma Dedrick Boyd and one brother, Curtis Boyd. He leaves behind his wife, Alvine Boyd of Adamsville, TN; one sister, Joan Northcutt of Selmer, TN; two brothers, O'Neal Boyd of Clinton, KY and J. S. Boyd of Adamsville; and several nieces and nephews. Services for Mr. Boyd were at 1 p.m. Mon., Nov. 8th at Christian Assembly Pentecostal Church with Lloyd Blankenship and W. D. McCollum officiating. JOE DAVID RICKMAN, 42, of Selmer, TN, passed away on Nov. 3, 2004 at Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Selmer. Mr. Rickman was preceded in death by his father, Bill Rickman. He is survived by his mother, Margaret William Rickman of Selmer. Services for Mr. Rickman were at 1 p.m. on Sat., Nov. 6th at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery in Selmer. KATHLEEN MAVOUREEN GOOCH BLASINGAME, 89, of Selmer, TN, died on Nov. 4, 2004 at McNairy Regional Hospital in Selmer. She was the owner and operator of the former L & M Motel in Selmer. She was a member of Selmer First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, and was a member of numerous committees. She was also a member of Stephen Foster Music Club, Selmer Garden Club and Selmer Beautification Committee. She was an avid artist, home decorator and a seamstress. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Blasingame, parents, Earl and Rose McCoy Gooch, son, Benny Wayne Blasingame, and brother, Buel Gooch. Mrs. Blasingame leaves behind one son, Bernard Blasingame and wife Margaret of Adamsville, TN; one half brother, Johnny Gooch of Selmer; two grandchildren, Katherine Blasingame of Nashville and Earl Benard Blasingame, Jr. of Adamsville. Services for Mrs. Blasingame were at 11 a.m. on Sat., Nov. 6th at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel with Max Walker officiating. Pallbearers were Lois, Cima, Bill Brown, Richard Howard, Larry Taylor, George Donaldson, Jim Stackhouse, Sam Chambers and Honorary - Kenneth Chambers. Ms. Mathis was a member of Walnut Baptist Church. She was supervisor at Blue Bell Manufacturing Co. in Walnut, MS and was the owner and operator of Mathis Dollar Store in Walnut, MS. She was preceded in death by her husband. , Horton Mathis, her patents, Puttman and Ardenia Maude Paseur Rowland, one brother and three sisters. Ms. Mathis also leaves behind three daughters, Janet Kirk and husband Bob or Ramer, Sue McFadden and husband John of Guys, Sheila Hopper and husband Guyton of Tiplersville, MS, six children and nine gr-grandchildren. Services for Ms. Mathis were held at 1 p.m. on Nov. 4th at McBride Funeral Home Chapel in Ripley, MS with Bros. Jetta Forsythe and Barron Pilgrim officiating. Burial was at New Salem Cemetery in Walnut, MS. .......................... CHARLES EDWARD IRONS, 52, of Michie, TN passed away on Nov. 1, 2004 at Hardin County Hospital in Savannah, TN. He was an established businessman and known throughout the community. He enjoyed riding his horses, collecting antique cars, and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Golden. Mr. Irons also leaves behind his wife, Frances, his mother, Ethel Irons, one son, Charles Allen Irons, four sisters, Carolyn Wilson, Mae Gillard, Geneva Scurry, and Sarah Irons, and three brothers, Larry Irons, Robert Irons, Jr., and Clarence Irons. Services were held at 2 p.m. on Fri., Nov. 5th at Saulter Chapel CME Church with Bro. Will Luster officiating. Burial followed at St. Rest Cemetery. .................. PATSY JEAN DICKEY, 63, of Ramer, TN, died on Sat. Nov. 6, 2004 at Magnolia Regional Healthcare Center. She was self employed. Mrs. Dickey was preceded in death by her mother, Ella Lee Bodiford. She is survived by her husband, Dwight Dickey of Ramer, TN, her father and step-mother, Malcolm and Virginia Bodiford of Corinth, MS, one daughter, Patty Lynn Fowler and husband Eric, of Ramer, three sisters, Nelda Devers, Pamela Essary, and Rosemary Suggs, all of Corinth, one brother, Elton Bodiford of Ramer, and three grandchildren, Andrew Fowler, Landon Fowler, and Peyton Fowler. Services for Mrs. Dickey were at 1 p.m. on Mon., Nov. 8th at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Selmer with Frank Wittman officiating, Burial was a Antioch Cemetery in Ramer. Shackelford Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements. ........................ MICHAEL STEVEN JUMPER, 49, of Bethel Springs, TN, died on Nov. 6, 2004 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. He was a member of Jesus Name Community Church in Walnut, MS. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles E. Jumper and one brother, Billy Jumper. Mr. Jumper is survived by his wife, Mary Kaye Jumper. He also leaved behind one daughter, Danielle Nicole Jumper of Bethel Springs, TN, two sons, Jeremy Steven Jumper of Humboldt, TN, and Michael Brad Jumper of Milan, TN, his mother, Mary Evelyn McMinn Mangrum of Milan, two sisters, Nancy Jones and Teresa Ann Mangrum, both of Milan, one brother, Jerry Lee Mangrum of Milan, two grandchildren, Brittany Jumper and Jacob Warren Jumper, and very close friend, Jackie Blankney of Michie, TN. Ms. Littlejohn was preceded in death by her parents, James "Bud" and Fannie Killingsworth Martin. She is survived by her husband, Herbert Littlejohn. She also leaves behind four sons, Willard Littlejohn of Lake Matthews, CA, Deleas Littlejohn of Hobart, IN, Kenneth Littlejohn of Bowling Green, KY, and Robert Littlejohn of Guys, TN, nine grandchildren, and seven gr-grandchildren.
