She was retired from Aqua Glass Corp. In Adamsville, and was a member of Stantonville United Methodist Church and Auxiliary Lady at McNairy Hospital. Services took place at 3 p.m. on Sun., Apr. 23, at Shackelford Chapel in Selmer. Burial was held at Stantonville Cemetery in Stantonville. Officiating the services were Ministers Earl Phelps and Danny Adkisson. Pallbearers were her grandsons. Mrs. Wyatt was preceded in death by his husband, Charles E. Wyatt, her parents, Thomas Montgomery and Tennie Hardin Tacker, and three brothers, Brady, Ezra and Joe Tacker. She is survived by three daughters, Judy Martin Hendrix and Debbie Coats both of Selmer, and Peggy Mathis of Adamsville, two sons, Rickey Wyatt and Tommy Wyatt both of Adamsville, four sister, Maggie Jackson of Senath, MO, Georgia Horton and Mable Foster both of Selmer, and Aberdeen Essary of Adamsville, one brother, Paul K. O'NEAL, 79, died on Tues., Apr. 11, 2000, at Jackson Madison County Hospital in Jackson of heart failure. Services took place at 1:30 p.m. on Thurs., Apr. 13, at Shackelford Chapel in Selmer with E. Claude Gardner and J. Walker Whittle officiating. Burial followed at O'Neal Cemetery near Enville. Pallbearers were Harold Maness, Ronald Maness, Bob Plunk, Dewayne Hawkins, Lonnie Green, and D. B. Weatherington. Roy O'Neal was born Oct. 24, 1920 in the Center Hill Community (between Enville and Leapwood) of McNairy County to Homer and Sallie Rankin O'Neal. He attended school at Center Hill, Milledgeville, and Morris Chapel High School in 1938 as class salutatorian. Mr. O'Neal was a retired farmer, local historian and poet. He was a faithful member of the Enville Church of Christ for almost half a centure, where he served as teacher, songleader, and treasurer for many years. He wrote many poems about nature, travel, sports, politics, and religion. He was the author of two books; "Walking Down Memories Lane" and "Selected Gems of Wit and Wisdom" He also wrote booklets on such local history topics as O'Neal Cemetery and the Wild Goose (Enville) community. He received an "Award of Recognition" from the Famous Poets Society in 1996 for his poem, "We I Go To Church" In 1990, Freed-Hardeman University presented him with a Recognition of Service Award during chapel services and places a number of his poems in the school library. Mr. O'Neal was a veteran of the World War II period and a member of the American legion Post 98 at Milledgeville. He was a member of the McNairy County Farm Bureau and the Adamsville Senior Citizens Center. He was also a member of the Tennessee Historical Society. Mr. O'Neal was preceded in death by his parents, two sister, Exie O'Neal and Ethel Plunk, and two brothers, Eckard O'Neal and J. H. O'Neal. He is survived by seven nieces and five nephews. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> CLAUDE LOTT, 86, died on Sat. Apr. 15, 2000, at his home. He was born in McNairy County, son of the late Albert and Emily Deaton Lott. He graduated Bethel Springs School in 1934. He was married to Linnie Sanders in 1935. They made their home in McNairy County where he farmed until 1961 when they moved to Chester County. Mr. Lott was also a carpenter and Deputy Sheriff for several years. He served several terms on the Chester of. Board of Commissioners and was a member of the Haltoms Chapel Methodist Church and was very instrumental in the founding and construction of the Montezuma Community Center. Services took place at 1 p.m. on Mon., Apr. 17, at Leon Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was held at Montezuma Cemetery in Stantonville. Officiating the services were Bro. Glenn Scott and Rev. Troy Frye. Mr. Lott is survived by his wife, Linnie Lott of Henderson, two daughters, Frances Davidson and Edith Sills both of Henderson, four sons, Edward Lott of Jackson, Larry Lott of Montgomery, Ala., Wayne Lot and Mike Lott both of Henderson, five brothers, willard Lott of Knoxville, A.B.
