Services took place at 1 p.m. on Mon., May 15, at Brown Funeral Chapel in Mayfield. Burial was held at Allcock Cemetery. Officiating the services was Rev. Gary Crawford. Pallbearers were Gary Dunn, Dean Sullivan, Herbie Banks, John Wysocki, Wayne Beck, and Newman Henson. Mr. Root was preceded in death by his parents, William Henry and Vandella Maybeck Root and a son, Matt Root. He is survived by his wife, Linda Brittian Root of Ramer, four daughters, Gail Sullivan of Boaz, KY, Sara Wysocki of of Alpena, Mich., Linda Qualls of Corinth, Miss, and Dewana Banks of Paducah, KY, three sons, Donald J.
