Funeral services were held Sun., Jan. 30, at 1 p.m. Her parents are Joy Nichols and Johnny Hudson. Grandparents are Loraine Borner, Marynell Hudson, Darrell Spencer all of Selmer. Jan. 26, 2000, at Jackson Madison General Hospital. She was born in McNairy Co. Daughter of the late Clydus and Gertie Stennitt Harwell. She attended schools in Hardin Co., graduating from Morris Chapel High School in 1955. She was married to Raymond J. Skinner in 1955. Mr. Skinner died in 1989. Services took place at 1 p.m. on Fri., Jan. 28, at Leon Johnson Funeral Home. Burial was held at Milledgeville Cemetery. Officiating the services was Rev. Loyd Blankenship. Mrs.. Skinner was preceded in death by one son, Raymond Jay Skinner, Jr. She is survived by fours daughters, Carolyn Dewry of Oakland, Syble Skinner, Janice Henry, and Denise Tacker all of Savannah, one son, David Skinner of Savannah, three sisters, Sonja Lewis and Patricia Gaddy both of Milledgeville and Glenda Cherry of Memphis,, two brothers, Bill Harwell of Lexington and John Harwell of Middleton, Six grandchildren and two gr-grandchildren. >>>>>>>>>>>> MARY V. McCORMACK SCALISE, 80, died Jan. 22, 2000, in Ypsilanti, Michigan of heart failure. She was a retired nursing assistant. She was born in McNairy Co., but made Ypsilanti her home for many years. Mrs. Scalise was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Scalise, her parents, Granville McCormack and Artie Ann Barnes McCormack, one brother, Thomas McCormack. She is survived by two sons, Jimmy Scalise and wife, Sandy of Milan, Mich., and Kenneth Scalise of Ypsilanti, one brother, James Monk McCormack of Selmer, six grandchildren and five gr-grandchildren, and a host of loving relatives. He was retired from McNairy County Highway Dept. and farming. He attended Stantonville Methodist Church and was an Army Veteran. Services took place at 1 p.m. on Sun., Jan. 30, at Shackelford Chapel in Selmer. Burial was held at Stantonville Cemetery in Stantonville. Officiating the services was Minister Danny Adkisson. Pallbearers were the grandsons, Honorary pallbearers were Daniel Jones, Eric Glidewell, Lucas Glidewell, Mack Glidewell, Garth Glidewell, and Dustin Chambers. Mr. Glidewell was preceded in death by his wife, Patie Marie Smith Glidewell and his parents, John Henry and Rebecca Boshart Glidewell. Jan. 25, 2000, at Methodist Healthcare McNairy Co. in Selmer of heart failure. She was a homemaker, a volunteer at Adamsville Senior Citizens Center, worked at RSVP, known as Granny Ocie at Mrs. Sims reading class at Adamsville Elem. School. Services took place at 11 a.m. on Thurs., Jan. 27, at Adamsville First Baptist church. Burial was held at Enville Woodlawn Cemetery in Enville. Officiating the services was Minister Frank Kemper. Mrs. Hudson was preceded in heath by her husband, A. E. Hudson, her parents, Cicero and Drucilla Kirk Robinson, a daughter, Charlotte Brown, and a granddaughter, Laura Smith.
