He was John William Henry Gilton/Jilton/Galtin born in 1835 and died in 1900. He married Lucinda Jane Page in 1857 in Tishomingo co. My ggggrandmother was Mary Etta (Mollie) Gilton 1862-1933, and census records says she was born in Tn. She had one sister Lucinda Jane Gilton 1864-1931 who married a Presley Garrett. I was told that he died in Wheeler Ms. but have not found his records. I believe that John was born in Alabama. I know his brother James drew a pension in early 1900 in Alcorn Co. Ms. He married Amanda Emmaline Cates Fortune Gilton 1844-1916 and she died in Itawamba Co Ms. Amanda and John had 10 more chuldren William Henry, Fannie Lee, Bella, Ruby K, Mittie Doris, Elena Curry, Nettie Virginia, Johnnie Alma, and Bertha Maud. John's brother James Robert Gilton 1837-1922. Married first to unknown and second to Nancy Paralee Burns. If any one can help with any of this information or records please cantact me.
