I checked the 1861 marriage microfilm at the Family History Center and didn't find them listed, so I don't have anything to refer them to other than the marriage date (Jan 28, 1861) and place (McNairy Co) that is on some of her documents, such as her Civil War Widow's Pension Application. >> When I ordered a marriage license application from McNairy, they photocopied the document in question and mailed it to me. The charge was $1.00. I had only the marriage date from the index plus of course the names of the individuals. The response was very prompt - return mail, as I recall. If you feel doubtful about how to proceed why not just call the Clerk's office? They are very nice.
