She was a retired teacher of Adamsville High School. She was also a member of the Adamsville 1st Baptist Church, McNairy County Retired Teachers Association, Order of the Eastern Star, and Pat Worthy Matron. Services took place at 11 am on Sat., June 5, at Shackelford Chapel in Adamsville. Burial was held at Salem Cemetery in Trenton Tenn. Officiating the services was Minister Frank Kemper. Mrs. Branson was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Branson, parents, James Alexander and Martha Cox Shelton, two sisters, Sadye Shea and Cristine Shelton, five brothers, Mike, Caleb, Alex, Albert and Thetus Shelton. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Turner of Florence, Ala., one son, Thomas Branson of Muscle Shoals, Ala.
