Civil War pension records should/might have the record of the marriage of the veteran. I found my ancestor's marriage date and his wife's maiden name in his Orphan's pension records. There was 28 pages of details of their life & children. Also, deeds will tell who wife, husband, children & their spouses are. Julia Cooper
