He was a retired parts and delivery person for NAPA Motor Parts and a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Memphis. Services took place at 11 a.m. on Wed., Sept. 8, at Shackelford Funeral Home in Adamsville. Graveside services were held at 2:30 p.m. at Memphis Memory Gardens. Officiating the services were Ministers Frank Kemp and Teddy Steele. Mr. Surratt was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Layton Surratt. He is survived by three sisters, Peggy Jo Duncan, Johnnie Sue Logman and Barbara Maness all of Adamsville and two brothers, Ray Surratt and Jack Surratt both of Adamsville. >>>>>>> WANDA SUE COBB, 64, died on Wed., Sept. 8, 1999, at Forrest Cove Nursing Home in Jackson of cancer. Services took place at 1 p.m. on Wed., Sept. 8, at Shackelford Funeral Home in Selmer. Burial was held at Indian Creek in Ramer. Officiating the services were Ministers Mike Smithe and Richard Doyle. Pallbearers were Jackie Suggs, Kenny Hamm, Ernest Derryberry, Marvin York, James Robert Robertson, Morris Wilson, Raymond Hugh Price and Charles Dancer. Honorary pallbearers were Willie Shelton, Pete Jones, and Ralph Webb. Mr. Teague was preceded in death by a brother, Kelcie Teague. He was born in Lexa, Ark. and grew up in Lepanto, Ark., son of the late William Eugene and Kydell Tull Orr. He attended schools Spear Lake, Ark. He farmed as a young man and entered U.S. Army serving WWII, the Army of Occupation. He returned to McNairy County and in 1949 was married to Georgia Moore. They made their home in the Bethel Springs area most of their life. He had been disabled since 1962. Services took place at 2 p.m. On Sun., Sept 12, at Casey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was held at Lake Hill Memory Gardens. Officiating the services was Minister Bro. Omar Duberry. Pallbearers were Randall Butler, Jason Miller, Stephen Leonard, Jim Ashe, Randy Butler, and Joseph Kiser. Mr. Orr is survived by his wife Georgia Sue Moore Orr of Bethel Springs, two sons, Robert Orr and Randall Orr both of Bethel Springs, five daughter, Elizabeth Tanner, betty Reimer, Anita Hubanks, Judy Orr, and Kay Sebren all of Bethel Springs, eight brothers, George Orr of Moorehouse, MO, Marion Orr, Oliver Orr, and James Orr all of Bono, Ark, Ernest Orr and Frank Orr both of Truman, Ark, Bob Orr of Jonesboro, Ark, and John Orr of Dallas, Texas, thirteen grandchildren and ten gr-grandchildren. >>>>>>>>>>> A. Burial was held at pebble Hill Cemetery in Michie. Mr. Deaton was preceded in death by three sons, Robert Neal Deaton, Jimmy Bartow Deaton, and Kenneth Deaton. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Elizabeth Deaton of Polk City, Fla., Russell Deaton of Tupelo, Miss., and Dwayne Deaton of Michie, three sisters, Edith Sanders of Corinth, Miss, Estel Goff and Opal Goff both of Tupelo, Miss, eleven grandchildren and eight gr-grandchildren. >>>>>.
