She was born Feb. 13, 1911, in Tippah County, Miss., to Hob and Willie Ann Hammonds Wilbanks. She was a homemaker and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Services took place at 1:30 p.m. on Fri., Mar 17, at Corinthian Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was held at Oak Grove in Pocohontas. Officiating the service was Rev. Roger Hatch. Pallbearers were her nephews. Mrs. Dixon was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years. She is survived by one son, Dale Dixon of Michie, one daughter, Shirley LaFever of Rome, GA, one brother, Rex Wilbanks of Pocohontas, one sister, Veloria Lassiter of Bolivar, two grandchildren, Larry Carroll of Pebble Hill and Kristie Knight of Corinth, and six gr-grandchildren. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> HARRY T. Mr. Stewart is survived by his wife Barbara Gail Sweat Stewart, a step-daughter, Abigail Harris of Bethel Springs, two sons, Philip Willey of Bethel Springs, Joshua Randall Stewart of Walls, MS, parents Stanley and Gail Hendrix Stewart, Jr., two sisters, Tracey Stewart of bethel Springs, and Wanda Goff of Henderson, TN, two brothers, Carl Johnson of Jackson, TN, and Dale Johnson of MS. Mr. Blakely was a retired school teacher and was also retired from the U.S. Navy. He served in Vietnam with the 3rd Marines where he won the Bronz Star Medal, Navy Commendation, and Navy Achievement Medal. He also won two Purple Hearts for wounds he received. Services were held at Ramer Baptists Church in Ramer, TN, on Mon., Mar. 3, at 3 p.m. with Ministers Eric Jones and Tim Tutor, with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer, TN. Burial was at Ramer Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Blakely is survived by his wife, Betty Martin Blakely, of Selmer, and four daughters: Wendy Hoyt of Jackson, Tammy Norris of Marietta, GA, Connie Jarnagin of Bethel Springs, and Judy Jarnagin of Corinth MS. He is also survived by his mother Lora Pearl Blakely of Ramer, four sons: Michael Blakely, Daryl Blakely, and David Blakely, all of a Selmer and Thomas Attaway of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He is survived by one sister, Gwen Norris of Selmer, three brothers, Johnny Blakely of Ramer, Darrel Blakely of Bartlett, TN, and Greg J. He is preceded in death by his parents Enos Troutt and Bertha Terry, his wife Martha Hotten Troutt, and his daughter, Hilda Sue Troutt.
