She was born Feb. 13, 1911, in Tippah County, Miss., to Hob and Willie Ann Hammonds Wilbanks. She was a homemaker and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Services took place at 1:30 p.m. on Fri., Mar 17, at Corinthian Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was held at Oak Grove in Pocohontas. Officiating the service was Rev. Roger Hatch. Pallbearers were her nephews. Mrs. Dixon was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years. Mr. Blakely was a retired school teacher and was also retired from the U.S. Navy. He is also survived by his mother Lora Pearl Blakely of Ramer, four sons: Michael Blakely, Daryl Blakely, and David Blakely, all of a Selmer and Thomas Attaway of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He is survived by one sister, Gwen Norris of Selmer, three brothers, Johnny Blakely of Ramer, Darrel Blakely of Bartlett, TN, and Greg J.
