    3. Appeared in the Independent Appeal Newspaper Wed., May 12, 2004 PATSY ANNA HAIR HUNT of Adamsville, 72, died on May 7, 2004 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. She was a retired secretary from Adamsville High School and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Adamsville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Troy and Marie Finger Hair and a sister, Bobbie Ruth Hassell. She is survived by her husband Billy Hunt; a sister, Jo Ann Harrison of Springfield, MO; a brother, Sam Hair of Adamsville; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Mon., May 10th at Shackelford Chapel in Adamsville. Burial followed in Adamsville at the Adamsville Cemetery. ................ EUGENE KNIGHT of Selmer, 67, died on May 3, 2004 at McNairy Regional Hospital. Mr. Knight was a sawmill owner and operator. He was also a member of Selmer First Baptist Church and a former member of the Tennessee National Guard. Mr. Knight was preceded in death by his parents Arlie Gentry Knight and Patience Carlee Cox Knight; a brother, James Arlie Knight; and a grandchild, Kristen Knight. He is survived by his wife, Madine Knight; a daughter, Lisa Whitten of Selmer; two sons, Anthony Knight and Tim Knight both of Selmer; two sisters, Lucille Foster of Hornsby and Nancy West of Bethel Springs; six grandchildren, Jeff Hayes Whitten of Tupelo, MI, Michael Shane Whitten, Valerie Elaine Knight, Jared Anthony Knight, Cody Chance Knight, Easton Finley Knight all of Selmer; and four gr-grandchildren, Logan Hayes Whitten of Ripley, MI, Jordan Paige Whitten of Corinth, MI, Kimberly Renee Whitten and Michael Brooks Whitten both of Selmer. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on May 5th at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer with Max Walker and Frank Whitman officiating. Burial followed at Lake Hill Memorial Garden in Bethel Springs Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research. ................ HENRIETTA H. CASSIDY of Adamsville, 76, died on May 1, 2004 at McNairy Regional Hospital. She is survived by three sisters and one brother. ................ JEANETTE D'AMORE of Savannah, 80, died on April 21, 2004 at Harbert Hills Academy Nursing Home. Ms. D'Amore was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil B. Armstrong, Sr. and Lavinia Oswald Armstrong and her husband, Michael D'Amore. She is survived by her brother, Virgil B. Armstrong of Bedford, TX Services and burial were held at 3:30 p.m. on May 5th at Huggins Cemetery in Eastview with Father Carl Hood officiating. ................ KATHLEEN POINDEXTER of Selmer, 85, died on Apr. 26, 2004 at Magnolia Regional Healthcare in Corinth, MI Mrs. Poindexter was a homemaker. She was also of the Baptist belief. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vestal Middleton and Alice Skoggan Middleton; her husband, Howard Poindexter; and a brother, Charles Middleton. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Lee Cooper of Selmer; her grandchildren, Vicki and Danny Dunaway, Lee Cooper, Timothy and Elizabeth Cooper; and gr-grandchildren, Corey Cooper, Amanda Dunaway, Johnathan Dunaway, Jewell Cooper, and Jasmine Cooper. Services were held at 11 a.m. on Fri., Apr. 30th at Shackelford Chapel with Jerry Woods officiating. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery in Selmer. ................ NANNIE LOU SHEA CROCKER ROBERTSON of Athens, formerly of Ramer, 80, died on May 4, 2004 at Wellington Place in Athens. Ms. Robertson was a faithful member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by parents, George Michael and Sadie Shelton Shea; her first and second husbands, Earl Crocker and M. J. Robertson; three brothers, James Patrick Shea, George Melvin Shea, and Timothy Shea. She is survived by a son, Kenneth Earl Crocker of Memphis; a daughter Pamela Thigpen and husband Richard Thigpen of Athens; two brothers, Charles Maurice Shea of Ramer and Dennis Ryan Shea of Rickmen; four sisters, Sandra Bahr of Selmer, Kay Caudill of Port Angeles, WA, Wilma Hurley of Stantonville, and Cornelia Kirk of Stantonville; and a close friend, Robert Innis of Athens. She also had four grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Fri., May 7th at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Selmer with Malcom George officiating. ROBERT O'NEAL TURNER of Chewalla, 51, died on May 4, 2004 at McNairy Regional Healthcare. Mr. Turner was a U. S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents William Everett Turner and Corrine Baldwin Turner. He is survived by two daughters, Angie Turner of Southbend, IN and Cheyenne Turner of Adamsville; two sons, Joshua Turner of Adamsville and Robert Turner of Southbend, IN; two sisters, Janie Johnson of Walnut, MI and Janice Milligan of Michie; and two brothers, Donald Turner and Tommy Turner both of Corinth, MI Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Sat., May 8th at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel.
