Can someone tell me if there are marriage records available for the years between 1830-1840 in McNairy County? I'm looking for a marriage between Matthew Anderson, born abt. 1800-1810 and "Hetty" or Hettie. Also does anyone know if Hetty is short for Hester? Or what would it be? She was born ca. 1820 in Tennessee. I found them in the 1840 McNairy census, with two girls under 5. They moved on to Johnson Co. Ark. by 1850 census. From there to Marion Co. by 1860 and then by 1870 to Boone Co. AR. Any help appreciated. Wilma
No, Our marriage records don't start until 1861. The courthouse burned and we lost of all them before 1861. I assume that means death records also? My block is Milley Dunn Brown who died in 1855 in McNairy County.
