He was a member of First Baptist Church in Adamsville, where he served as a deacon. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Kristi Smith; his parents, Dale Smith and Emma Sue Surratt Smith of Adamsville; two daughters, Deanna Marie Smith and Allissa DeLynn Smith; one son, Jared Andrew Smith; one sister, Shelia Harris of mt. Pleasant, TN; one brother, Larry Smith of Adamsville; and one grandmother, Allean Surratt of Stantonville, TN. Services were Tues., July 26th, at 1 p.m. at the Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Adamsville with Phil Mitchell and Frank Kemper officiating. Burial followed in the Adamsville Cemetery. EUNICE MARIE NOLD, 77, of Bethel Springs, TN, passed away on July 19, 2005, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. She was a member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church and retired from Brown Shoe Company. Mrs. Nold was preceded in death by her parents, Chrystal Marion & McGuffy Mae Boyd Johnson; her husband, William Henry Nold; three sisters, Avorell Gentry, Audrey Johnson, and Martha Johnson; and one brother, Ruben Johnson. She is survived by two daughters, Naomi Miller of Selmer, TN and Nancy Nold of Bethel Springs; two sisters, Dorothy Coats and Christine Cox, both of Selmer; one brother, Daniel Johnson of Savannah, TN; five grandchildren and three gr-grandchildren. Services were Thurs., July 21st, at 2 p.m. in the Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel with Keith Jones officiating. Burial followed in Lake Hill Memorial Gardens in Bethel Springs. EDWIN CARROLL ELAM, 80, of Stantonville, TN, passed away on July 22, 2005, at Magnolia Regional Healthcare in Corinth, MS. He was in the Air Force for 20 years and served as a Technical Sergeant in World War II, a self-employed contract builder and a Baptist in belief. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Kenneth and Lala Carroll Elam, and one brother James Elmo Elam. He is survived by one daughter, Beverly Mercer of Stantonville; one sister, Rebecca Surratt of Stantonville; and two granddaughters, Kara and Kelly Mercer. Services were Sun., July 24th, at 2 p.m. at the Shackelford Funeral Home with Bobby Tillman officiating. Burial followed in Stantonville Cemetery. EBONI RASH CHISM POLLE, infant, was born and departed this life on July 21, 2005, at McNairy Regional Hospital. She was the beloved daughter of Tracie Poole and Jordan Chism of Selmer, TN. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Buddy McFarlen and paternal gr-grandfather, Caldwell Chism. Eboni leaves behind those who cherish her memory; her mother, Tracie Poole and father, Jordan Chism; maternal grandparents, Tracey and Judith Poole of Ramer, TN and Judy Poole of Selmer; paternal grandparents, Vivian Chism-Batchelor of Selmer, TN and Steve Jennings of Humboldt, TN; maternal gr-grandparents, Carl and Peggy Wilson and Jessie McFarlen of Sabineal, TX; paternal gr-grandmother, Ruby P. Chism of Selmer; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives. Services were Mon., July 25th, at 10 a.m. with Minister Nelson Falls officiating.
