Appeared in the Independent Appeal Newspaper, Wed., July 27, 2005 50TH Wedding Anniversary WILLIAM JOSEPH (Billy Joe) and BETTY FAYE RONE RAIL, July 16, 2005 marked five decades together. The couple was united in marriage on July 16, 1955 in the presence of family and friends at the Hohenwald Church of Christ officiated by Brother Riley Moore. The couple met in Hohenwald where Betty worked as a nurse in the office of Dr. William Earl Boyce and Bill was a lineotype operator for the Mt. Pleasant Record. The couple spent the majority of their lives publishing weekly newspapers. In 1966, they purchased the Mt. Pleasant Record, which they published until 1976. After selling The Record, the couple purchased McNairy County Publishing Company, LLC in Selmer and published the Independent Appeal from 1976 until 2001 when they retires. The paper is still in the family. Following their marriage, they became the proud parents of three children, Deborah, Janet, and William. The late Deborah married Sammy Boshers and had three children: Same, Kelly, and Matthew, who reside in Summertown. Janet is the current publisher of the Independent Appeal and is Vice President of Clinical Services for Regency Hospital Company. William and his wife, Kim are the owners of Sandy Creek Development in Orange Beach, AL. William is the father of five children: Spencer, Rachel, Robbie, Ryan, and Jake and two grandchildren, Sydney and Sheali. The children invite all friends and family to a reception on Sat., Aug. 6, 2005 from 2 to 4 p.m. honoring their parents Bill and Betty Rail's 50th Wedding Anniversary. The reception will be held at 103 North Main Street in Mt. Pleasant, the former Mt. Pleasant Hardware Building. The couple requests no gifts. Your presence is the perfect gift. Have A Great Day!
