    3. Appeared in the Independent Appeal Newspaper Wed., Dec. 20, 2000 CORA ELLEN ARCHER GEE, 88, of Bethel Springs, died at Methodist Healthcare McNairy due to heart failure. Mrs. Gee was a homemaker and a member of the Refuge Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by her husband John Dewey Gee, one daughter, Shirley Waddell Maness, and one son Wendell Deming Gee. She was the daughter of the late Logan and Amy Archer. She is survived by her daughters, Genelle Shelton, Linda Ferguson, Phyllis Clayton and Judy Moor of Bethel Springs, Wanda Plunk of Adamsville, Kathleen Austin of Guys, Erma Dean Clayton of Henderson. She is also survived by two sons, Billy Gee of Hernando, MS, and Franklin Gee of Coldwater, MS. She had 30 grandchildren, 38 gr-grandchildren, and 1 gr-gr-grandchild. Funeral services were held Dec, 17, at 3 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. and followed with the burial at Refuge Cemetery in Finger.
