I saw mention of one of Franklin Mitchell's books and I thought I would pass this along. Several years ago, I wrote "Hurst's Wurst", a book about the history of the Sixth Tennessee (Union) Cavalry. I've noticed in two of Mr. Mitchell's books, "History of Purdy and Early McNairy County" and "The Hurst Nation and Its People" that he literally lifted the pages from my book "Hurst's Wurst" and placed them into his own book as if he wrote or compiled it! No credit was given to me nor was permission given to use my work. I write this only as a precaution to researchers who use his books as sources for information. Sincerely, Kevin McCann
