Gene, I checked on Findagrave.com There is a listing that someone found of a gravestone there for a Pvt. J. M. Martin, b. in Tennessee and died Feb. 14, 1864. Here is what is listed for what shows on the stone: Pvt J. M. Martin Birth: unknown Death: Jan. 14, 1864 MARTIN, J.M. PVT B 27 TENN 2/14/64 Burial: Rock Island Confederate Prison Rock Island Rock Island County Illinois, USA Plot: Grave # 490 Record added: Jul 18 2004 By: Bev Gillihan The transcriber says he died Jan. 14, 1864, but the inscription looks like it says Feb. 14, 1864.
