    3. I am looking for a Samuel Pearson, born a slave. He is very confusing. He is listed on July 29 1883 as Samuel Irvenson in the marriage records of Mcnairy County and married Ann Pearson. From then on he went by the name Pearson. I do not know if Ann Pearson was a single woman or a widow. That part is confusing also. If she is single she might be the daughter of Joseph Pearson, a salve that was owned by Gilbert or Thomas Pearson. This Samuel, apparently was a sharecropper, because in every census he is in a different district. Instead of Irvinson, he could be a child of Harvey Erwin and Amanda, but this is only a thought since Erwin can be spelled so many ways. In 1920 old Samuel is living with his son James L Pearsonon the Ramer Gravel Hill Rd ( I estimate around Mt Vernon). They moved after 1920 to Gibson County where Samuel died. One time a family with same wife and children is listed as Tom Pearson. James L Pearson married Alberta Horton, maybe Chester County. She was the daughter of Frank Whorton and Julia Draper. Frank dropped the W from his name. This is the most confusing case I have ever worked on and if someone has any information I would certainly appreciate it. Tahnk you. Nancy
