I'm working on 1-12-05 and will send it this week Appeared in the Independent Appeal Newspaper Wed., Jan. 5, 2005 KELLEN E. HENRY, 81, of Bethel Springs, TN, passed away at his home on Dec. 29, 2004. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, a mason at the Purdy Lodge, and a United Stated veteran of WWII where he served in the 272nd Field Artillery Battalion. He was recalled to active duty during the Korean War. Mr. Henry was preceded in death by his parents, C. H. and Flora Floyd Henry; three brothers, Arnold Henry, Elton Henry, and Drexell Henry; three sisters, Lillian Moore, Nelly McDaniel, and Eleanor Sorno. He leaves behind his wife, Frankie Harris Henry; a son, Ronald Henry; two brothers, Gordon Henry of Bethel Springs, and Fred Henry of Navada, MO; four sisters, Barbara Michael of Peoria, IL, Iva Lee Kubica of Jackson, TN, Annette Smith, and Margarette Long of Selmer, TN; two grandchildren and two gr-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Fri., Dec. 31st at 1 p.m. in the Shackelford Chapel with Preston Siler and Nelson Siler officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery. ............ LORENE MALONE, 88, of Bethel Springs, TN passed away on Dec. 23, 2004 at her residence. She was a homemaker and a member of World Wide Church of God in Jackson, TN. Ms. Malone was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Mack Malone; her mother and father, Vroner W. Stanton and Lula V. Plunk Stanton; three sisters, Evelyn Alexander, Alean Stanton, and Inethia Jordan; and one daughter-in-law Johnita P. Malone. She also leaves behind one son, Raymond E. Malone and his wife, Bonnie from Beavercreek, OH; one daughter, Brenda Malone of Bethel Springs; thry grandchildren, Yvonne, Ramona, and Roxanne, and six gr-grandchildren. Funeral services for Ms. Malone were held at 11 a.m. on Dec. 28th at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Selmer, TN with Wayne Wendt officiating. Internment then followed at Maggie Jones Memorial Cemetery in Finger, TN. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer were in charge of all arrangements. ............... J. T. SMITH, 77, of Adamsville, TN, passed away on Dec. 28, 2004, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN. He was a retired factory worker and a member of Christian Assembly Pentecostal Church. Mr. Smith leaves behind six sister, Ruby Crowell of Enville, TN, Bobbie Helms of Adamsville, Wanda Johnson of Parsons, Brenda Bushnell of Reagan, Dortha Davis and Betty McCullum of Lenoir City; and four brother, Ivy D. Smith of Tullahoma, Glen Smith of Memphis, TN, Sam Smith of Adamsville, and Paul Smith of Tunica, MS. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Thurs., Dec. 30th at Christian Assembly Pentecostal Church with burial in Milledgeville Cemetery in Milledgeville, TN. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer were in charge of all arrangements. .............. LORRAINE JUNE MCCORMACK, 32, of Selmer, TN, passed away on Dec. 31, 2004, at McNairy Regional Hospital. She was a homemaker. Ms. McCormack is survived by her father, Carl McCormack of Arizona and mother, Johnette R. McCormack of Illinois. She also leaves behind her companion, Nelson Sanchez of Selmer; a daughter Heather R. Sanchez; a son, Nelson J. Sanchez; two sisters, Colleen I McCormack and Carla M. Rodriguez of IL; and two brothers, Carl L. McCormack and Steve M. McCormack of Arizona. Graveside services were held at Falcon Cemetery in Selmer, at 11 a.m. on Mon. Jan. 3, 2005 with burial to follow with Randy Mead officiating. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer were in charge of all arrangements. .............. WILLARD M. DICKERSON, 83, of Selmer, TN, passed away on Dec. 31, 2004 at McNairy County Health Care Center. He was a farmer and a retired foreman of Brown Shoe Company. Mr. Dickerson was preceded in death by his parents, Ambros and Ada Knox Dickerson; three sisters, Maureen Berry, Marie Sneed, and Evelyn Cole; two brothers, Harold Dickerson and Bill Dickerson. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Dickerson; two daughters, Jennie Magrogan of Crump and Julia McClain of Selmer; two sisters, Velma Davis of Sikeston, MO and Lou Dalton of Melvindale, MI; three grandchildren and six gr-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer at 1:30 p.m. on Sun., Jan. 2, 2005 with burial at Pleasant Site Cemetery in Selmer with Frank Whitman officiating.
