    3. Appeared in the Independent Appeal Newspaper Wed., Dec. 29, 2004 LORENE MALONE, 88, of Bethel Springs, TN, passed away on Dec. 23, 2004 at her residence. She was a homemaker and a member of World Wide Church of God in Jackson, TN. Ms. Malone was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Mack Malone; her mother and father, Vroner W. Staton, and Lula V. Plunk Staton; three sisters, Evelyn Alexander, Alean Staton, and Inetha Jordan; and one sister-in-law, Johnita P. Malone. She also leaves behind one son, Raymond E. Malone and his wife, Bonnie from Beavercreek, OH; one daughter, Brenda Malone of Bethel Springs; three grandchildren, Yvonne, Ramona, and Roxanne and six gr-grandchildren. Funeral services for Ms. Malone were held at 11 a.m. on Dec. 28th at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Selmer, TN with Wayne Wendt officiating. Internment then followed at Maggie Jones Memorial Cemetery in Finger, TN. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer were in charge of all the arrangements. .............. MARVIN JOSEPH "DADDY JOE" MARLOW, 66, of Selmer, TN, passed away on Dec. 21, 2004 at this residence. He was retired from Aqua Glass Corporation, a member of Clear Creek Baptist Church, and a Veteran of the United States Army and the United States Navy. Mr. Marlow was preceded in death by his father, Elton C. Marlow. He is survived by his wife. Kay Browder Marlow of Selmer; a daughter, Phyllis M. Poland of Adamsville, TN; three sons, Mark Marlow and his wife, Susan from Somerset, KY, Ron Marlow and his wife, Rhonda of Adamsville, TN, and Tim Marlow and his wife, Cindy, also of Adamsville; one sister, Pat Platz of Ada, MI; two brothers, Al Marlow and Robert Marlow, both of Grand Rapids, MI; eight grandchildren, Jasmine, Ashley, Emma Reese, and John Michael Poland, Daulton, Mason, Blake, Jakob Marlow. Services for Mr. Marlow were held at 1 p.m. on Dec. 23rd at Clear Creek Baptist Church with Bro. Chuck Castles officiating. Internment followed at Clear Creek Cemetery in Selmer. NELLIE WOLFE, 83, of Selmer, TN, passes away on Dec. 25, 2004 at McNairy County Regional Hospital in Selmer. She was a member of New Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and a member of Eastern Star Dixie Lodge 115. She was preceded death by one son, Albert G. Wolfe, Jr. and two brothers, Roy Kiser and John Kiser. Ms. Wolfe also leaves behind her husband, Albert Wolfe; one son, Rickey Wolfe of Selmer, five sisters, Virginia Barnes, Mable McClain, Wilma Dunaway, Kaye Tacker, all of Selmer and Syble Pearson of Corinth, MS; one brother, Larry Kiser of Selmer; four grandchildren and six gr-grandchildren. Services for Ms. Wolfe were held at 1 p.m. on Dec. 28th at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Selmer. Internment followed at Falcon Cemetery. .............. HATTIE MAE ARTHUR, 89, of Lexington, TN, passed away on Dec. 22, 2004 at McNairy County Health Care. She was a homemaker. Ms. Arthur was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Arthur. She also leaves behind four daughter, Mickie Wizer of Memphis, TN, Nellie Faye Lowrance of Dyer, TN, Kathy Suggs of Selmer, TN, and Sherrell Huey of Cedar Grove, TN; two Sons, Jerry Arthur of McKenzie, TN and Danny Arthur of Cedar Grove; one sister, Birdeen McDaniel of Jackson, TN; fifteen grandchildren, and eight gr-grandchildren. Services were held at 1 p.m. at Reeds Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Phil Mitchell officiating. Reeds Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements. Internment followed at James Cemetery. .............. JAMES A. "JIMMY" LAMBERT, 77, of Bethel Springs, TN, passed away on Dec. 27, 2004 at McNairy Regional Hospital. He was retired from Thomas Oil Company and served in the United States Army in WWII. Mr. Lambert is survived by one daughter, Doris Hill of Bethel Springs; two sons, Bill Lambert and Darrell Lambert of Selmer, TN; four sisters, Clara Rose Johnson, Wilma Jo Cox, Dale Rowsey, and Carolyn Ashe of Selmer; three brothers, Jack Lambert and Malcolm Lambert of Selmer, and Frank Lambert of Adamsville, TN; and four grandchildren and two gr-grandchildren. Services for Mr. Lambert were held at 3 p.m. on Tues., Dec. 28th at Shackelford Funeral Home in Selmer, TN with Greg Worthy officiating. Burial followed at Falcon Cemetery in Selmer. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer were in charge of all the arrangements. .............. WILLIAM H. "BILL" RICHARD, 79, of Selmer, TN passed away on Dec. 4, 2004 at West Tennessee Transitional Care. He was a retired Demolitions Contractor. Mr. Richard was a member of Lorraine Baptist Church, member of Labor Local 350, member of the Woodlawn Masonic Lodge in Memphis, TN and a third degree Mason. He also served in the United States Army Air Force during WWII. Mr. Richard is survived by his wife, Jean Richard; three daughters, Tommie Kozak of Beaver Creek, OH, Kathy Fambrough of Deltona, FL, and Barbara Kay Hill of Pinson, TN; two sisters, Thelma Prather of Selmer and Laura Griffin of Ramer, TN; one brothers, Dudley Richard of Ramer; and two grandchildren. Services for Mr. Richard were held at 1 p.m. on Mon., Dec. 6th at Shackelford Funeral Home in Selmer with Taff Neathery and Rayburn Richard officiating. Burial followed at Hope Cemetery in Selmer. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer were in charge of all the arrangements. The family requests that memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society. .............. Baby boy HOUSTON HAYDEN HADLEY was born on Tues., Dec. 14, 2004 to Kristopher Hadley of Pickwick Dam, TN and Paula Sisk of Selmer, TN. He passed from this life on Wed., Dec 22, 2004 at LeBonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN at the age of 8 days. Other than his parents, survivors are a half-sister, Kristan Hadley of Bethel Springs, TN; grandparents, Gerald Hadley, Jr. and Kathy Hadley of Bethel Springs and Pete and Shelia Kidd of the Purdy Community and Loretta Hadley of Bethel Springs; gr-grandparents, Essie Sisk of Selmer, TN, Gerald Hadley, Sr. and Jannie Hadley of Ramer, TN and Dewey and Lavon Sullivan of the Purdy Community and a host of other relatives. Preceeded in death by his grandfather, Houston Eugene Sick and gr-grandparents, Paul Sisk and Peatie Plunk. Funeral services were held on Sun., Dec. 26th at 3 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Selmer with Gerald Hadley, Sr. and Tony Ervin officiating. Internment was in Lake Hill Memorial Gardens in Bethel Springs. .............. ROBERT FLOYD SURRATT, 80, of Bethel Springs, TN, passed away on Dec. 22, 2004 at McNairy Regional Hospital. He was employed with McNairy County Utility Department in the Gas Department, a Democratic Committee member and a Veteran of World War II. Mr. Surratt was preceded in death by his father and mother, Louda and Ada Mae Surratt; a brother, Marvin Edward Surratt; and a sister-in-law, Henrietta Surratt. He is survived by his wife, Betty Sue Surratt; a daughter, Robbie Wallace and her husband, Harold of Bradenton, FL; two step-daughters, Brenda Darlene Kiestler and her husband, Jackie Allen of Bethel Springs, and Patricia Sue Whitten of Bethel Springs; one son, Phillip Edward Carrington of Bradenton, FL; seven grandchildren, Lance, Lindsay, and Steven Carrington, and Mathew and Sara, Kiestler, Carole Post, and Jean Wallace. Funeral services were held on Dec. 27th at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Selmer with Aaron Moss officiating. Burial services followed at Lake Hill Memorial Gardens in Bethel Springs.
