She was a registered nurse and a member of Union Grove Methodist Church, a member of Selmer Home Distribution Club and a member of the Argonaut Book Club of Selmer. Mrs. Beck was preceded in death by her father, William Musselwhite, and a brother, Charles Musselwhite. She is survived by her mother, Nina Stophel Musselwhite of Selmer; her husband, Robert K. Beck; one daughter, Lora Jean Gowan of Memphis; one son, David Beck of Boston, MA; and four grandchildren. Services were Fri., Jan. 21st, at 11 a.m. at Union Grove United Methodist Church with Bro. MILDRED (MILL) GEAN, 83, of Adamsville, TN, passed away on Jan. 18, 2005, at Harding County Nursing Home in Savannah. She was a machine operator for Dillon Manufacturing and Angelica Manufacturing, and a member of Old Union Baptist Church. Mrs. Gean was preceded in death by her husband, Barney Ray Gean. She is survived by one step-sister, Jennie Ann Daniel of Adamsville; one half-brother, Clarence Cook of Adamsville; and one step-brother, Thomas Carothers of Selmer, TN. She is survived by two brothers, Henry Lee Watson and Floyd Vernon Watson of Michie. Mitchell Wagoner of Stantonville; his wife, Ronda Wagoner; two step-daughters, Sharla Hicks and Jessica Hicks; one son, Jon-Matthew Wagoner; one sister, Angela Flatt of Adamsville, TN; and his grandparents, W. Mr. Derryberry is survived by his parents, Ernest Lee and Shelby Jean Barnes Derryberry; one brother, Timothy Lee Derryberry and wife, Regina of Ramer; one sister Phyllis Jeanine Derryberry Ragan and husband, Chris Alan of Chewalla; four nephews and two gr-nephews. Mr. Shafer is survived by his wife, Rebecca Shafer; two daughters, Amanda Ingle, of Bethel Springs, TN and Polly Shafer of Selmer, TN; one son, Daymon Shafer of Finger, TN; one step-son, Chris Chestnut of Jackson, TN; and five grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Vanderford and husband, Billy, of Corinth and Sandra Killough and husband, Mike of Corinth; one son, Richard Wrenn and wife, Vivian E. of Charlotte, TN; one sister, Vera Derryberry and husband, Richard, of San Diego, CA; five grandchildren and twelve gr-grandchildren. Mr. Kanavel was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Charles Glen and Iva Marie Sword Kanavel; his wife, Anna Zirkle Kanavel; one sister, Betty Sarver; and one brother, Glen Kanavel. She is survived by her mother, Marlene Smith of Bethel Springs, TN; her husband, Jim Needham of Union City; one grandparent, Graple Tull of Bethel Springs; thee daughter, Ginger Joslin of Newbern, TN, Jennifer Russell of Nashville, TN and Kern Gallimore of Unions City; two sisters, Linda Young of Bemis, TN and Becky Black of Bethel Springs; three brothers, Larry Smith, Randy Smith, and Harvey Neal Smith, all of Bethel Springs; and two grandchildren. Mrs. Abbott was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Abbott, her father, Wesley House, her mother, Nettie Morrow House, one sister, Alma Piercey, and two brothers, Samuel House and Troy House. She leaves behind one sister, Thelma Brown of West Memphis, AR; three brothers, Bobby House of Middleton, Floyd House of Memphis, and Herchel House of West Memphis; five nieces, seven nephews, twelve gr-nieces and four gr-nephews. Graveside services for Mrs. Abbott were held on Tues., Jan. 25th, at 3 p.m. with Minister Ray Burks officiating. Burial followed at Oak Grove Cemetery in Pocahontas, TN.
