    1. Re: [TNMCNAIR] Looking for Dennis family info
    2. Janey, This is a long shot, but I am looking for Dennie family in McNairy County. Mary Denny is shown in the 1870 Mcnairy County Census. Here is the household data: Mary Denny 30 female w keeping house Aaron 11 m Henry 9 m Casey(?) 7 f Mary Dennie, a widow is shown in the McNairy District 3 Census Here is the household data: Mary Dennie widow Aaron Dennie son 19 farmer Henry Dennie son 17 farm hand Family lore has it that Mary changed the spelling on the name. I have been unable to find any records before the 1870 census. Do you think it possible there is some connection to your Dennis? I have been researching the county and Civil war records without luck so far.
