Hi list, My husband's grandfather Isom Parker Deatherage was born in McNairy Co., Tennessee in 1887. His parents were Allen Deatherage and Mary Jane Treadway. Isom's bible says they married on May 5, 1879. Anyone that may have access to marriage or cemetery records, i would like to verifiy the info we have and would like to eventually get copies for out records. Allen Deatherage b.July 25, 1859, died Abt Nov 1894, buried where? and Mary Jane (Treadway) Deatherage b.Dec 18, 1861, died Abt 1892 or 1893, buried where?. Allen Deatherage remarried a lady known by us as "Sarah", we would like to know if they married in McNairy County, the date, etc. Her maiden name may have been "Harris". They were married only a short time, because Allen Deatherage was injured and died about Nov 1894 over in Shiloh, Hardin Co., TN. Also, i'am looking for a marriage for Agnes Treadway to a "Unknown Davis", probably married about 1874 or 1875, as their first child was born about 1876. The Unknown Davis had died before 1880. Agnes (Treadway) Davis was Isom Parker Deatherage's Aunt, after she died, Agnes Davis's children were sent to Texas to live with Treadway Aunts & Uncles. The Treadways, Deatherages and Davis families were all located on 1880 census in McNairy County, the Treadways had moved to Texas before 1894 and after Allen Deatherage died, his children were sent to Texas to live with their Treadway grandparents, this information per a letter sent by "Sarah" to their Treadway grandparents in Texas, telling them of Allen's death and that he wanted them to raise his children, to keep them all together. The Deatherage children are found on 1900 Fannin Co., Texas, living by then with their Uncle. Allen Deatherage's father was John M. Deatherage b.Abt 1831, died 1914 in Michie, McNairy County, buried in Carter Cemetery, anyone with cemetery records, and if possible would like to verifiy the cemetery info. The Treadway surname is sometimes spelled as "Tredway", "Tredaway", etc. The Deatherage surname is many times spelled "Deathridge", "Dethridge", etc. Your time and help on any of the above info would be very appreciated! Or if related we would love to hear from you! Cheryl
