Appeared in the Independent Appeal Newspaper Wed., Sept. 28, 2005. WILLIAM RYAN PERKINS, age 28 of Counce, TN, passed away on Sept. 23, 2005, at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, TN. He was a member of the Church of the Harvest, Selmer Moose Lodge, and an employee of East West Trucking Company. Mr. Perkins is survived by his father, William O. Perkins of Counce; his mother, Tommye Kay Watson Andre of Bartlett, TN; and one sister, Kristina Amber Perkins of Memphis, TN. Services were at 1 p.m. on Mon., Sept. 26th, in the Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Thomas, Father James Martell and Layman Mike Stewart officiating. Burial followed in Lake Hill Memorial Gardens in Bethel Springs, TN. Pallbearers were Morgan Ewing, Jerry Lyons, Robert Bailey, Rafe Vomprezzi, Randy Garza, Chris Galloway and Steve Cummings. SADIE ELVIRA BALDRIDGE BRADFORD WILSON, on Nov. 15, 1916, Sadie Elvira Baldridge entered this world as the first born of four children to the late Issac W. and Rosie Floyd Baldridge. While sleeping, she completed her journey in the world at 7 a.m. on the morning of Sat., Sept. 17, 2005, at her home in Chicago. She was 89 years old. This virtuous woman accepted Christ at an early age at what is now Bethel Springs United Methodist Church. She served as Secretary, Senior Choir Member, Sunday School Kindergarten Teacher, member of the Women Society of Christian Service, and a member of the Weseleyan Service Guild. She was well known for her culinary skills and was very active in the Parent Teacher Association when her children attended school. She retired from her career in hospitality as Manager of Housekeeping for a prominent hotel in Chicago. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Eston Bradford and Thomas Wilson; her brother Marcus Sevoid Baldridge, special cousin Fairview Ervin, brothers-in-law Oscar Williams and Barney Williams; and nephew Matthew Williams. She is survived by her two sisters, Auttie Mary Baldridge and Callie "T.C." Matilda Williams of Bethel Springs; her sister-in-law, Mozella Baldridge of Bethel Springs; her three children, Eston Lena Bradford, Donnell Bradford and wife Dorothy, and Robert Clay Bradford, all of Chicago; her grandchildren, Saretta Riddles, Donella Bradford-Thomas and husband Ira of Chicago and Eric Bradford of Kentucky; her gr-grandchild Joshua Means of Chicago; her aunt, Lessie Stokes of Indianapolis, IN; as well of a s host of nieces, nephews, cousins great nieces, and nephews, and friends. Celebration and internment were on Sat. Sept 24th, at New Bethel United Methodist Church with Rev. Jimmy Carter officiating. Final arrangements were entrusted to Ervin Funeral Home of Kankakee, IL. ............... CARL RICHARD SMITH, age 80 if Michie, TN, passed away on Sept. 19, 2005, at McNairy Regional Hospital. He was a member of Shiloh Church of Christ and was a mail carrier for Counce, TN and worked for the United States Postal Service for 40. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Clara Thomason Smith, one daughter Janell Cartwright of Michie, and one grandchild. Services were at 1 p.m. on Thurs., Sept. 22nd, in the Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Savannah, TN with burial in White Sulphur Cemetery in Pickwick Dam, TN. RICKEY TERRY COOPER, age 46 of Bethel Springs, TN, passed away on Sept. 20, 2005, at Bolivar General Hospital. He was a Baptist in belief and worked in asphalt paving for Jackie Roach. Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by his half-brother, Charles E. Byrd. He is survived by his parents, J. D. and Carolyn Smith Cooper of Bethel Springs; his companion, Renae Rinehart; two stepdaughter, Brandie L. Rinehart and Brianna N. Rinehart of Bethel Springs; two sons, Chase Cooper of Ramer, TN and Joseph C. Cooper of Bethel Springs; and two sisters, Jeanette Rowland of Bethel Springs and Brenda Moore and husband Jerry of Martin, TN. Services were at 4 p.m. on Thurs., Sept. 22nd, in the Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel with Terry McDonald officiating. Burial followed in Lake Hill Memorial Gardens in Bethel Springs.
