I'm wondering if anyone has any information about a William WALSH listed in the 1850 Census in the eighth "district" of McNairy County. He was 60 years old and listed as "Merchant". It's kind of hard to read but appears that he was not born in Tennessee. Could possibly be Alabama. Found this person by accident and wondering if he is connected to my line in some way. My line was in Coffee County in 1850, and I realize that's a fair distance from McNairy, but......... The name "William" seems to run in my WALSH line. Every generation has one.
