I can't find any Bartons here early. As the old saying goes I think they "came and went." Most of the Bartons show up closer to 1900. However I did find something on Jackson Willis. There are two by the name Jackson Willis in 1860. One is age 10 living with Ellin Willis (age 28 in 1860) probably her child. Other children are narcissa age 8, Elizabeth 6, Coe 4 and Mary 2. Ellin is in the houshold of Richard (60) and Mary Browder (62). Dist 13m HH 2251. Another Jackson Willis in is living in district 6, hh 872. He is age 12 and living in the houshold of Jackson Browder (28) and Caroline (22). I tend to lean more toward this Jackson Willis. As Robert Young, the MG that married Jackson and Margaret lives close by in the 6th district. However - there is a connection between both of the Jackson Willis boys. Althught in two differnt district - 6 and 13 were fairly close together. In 1850, there is almost next door to Richard Browder, age 43, a G W Willis age 29 and Jane 21. They have Jackson age 2, and Jane age 1. The Jackson Browder that Jackson Willis is living with in 1860 is a son of Richard Browder, and I think that Jane be a daughter of Richard Browder. There is also a John Browder that is brothers. John and Old Richard Browder are still in MCNairy County in 1870, but Jackson Browder and Jackson Willis are not listed. If Ellin Willis that is living with Richard Browder in 1860 is his daughter, I can't figure out which one. Her age is 28 in 1860. Richard has in 1850 Louisa age 21 and Mary age 15. Of course census records are not always accurate. Richard and Mary (Polly) had at least John born 1829, Martha Born 1827, Auguustus born 1828, Loiusa born 1829, Jackson (above) born 1832, Mary born 1835, Franklin born 1838, Frances born 1842 and if Jane is a daughter born 1829. Clear as mud????? Nancy
