On June 9, 2005, she went home to be with her lord in paradise. Richard and Ginger Dorman were blessed by the Lord to become her parents. Kathe, Alan, and Karrolyn were blessed to have her as their baby sister. At 3 weeks old, Kay Lynn and her family moved to California and she was so small she rode all the way on a pillow between mommy and daddy. She attended grade school up to the 4th grade in Burbank, CA, at which time they moved back to Missouri. Kay Lynn was a graduate of Marshfield High School in Marshfield, MO, where she enjoyed playing the flute in the school band along with other school activities. Kay Lynn enjoyed her younger years playing with her brother and sister, as well as becoming a Brownie and Girl Scout. The family love camping and fishing together, and Kay Lynn could put up a ten or bait a hook as well as any boy! Yet, she was "girlie" all the way and loved playing dress-up and was a "proud mommy" to her collection of dolls. At the age of twelve, Kay Lynn accepted Jesus into her heart and was born again. She loved playing her flute in the church band. In 1983, Kay Lynn and her parents moved to Memphis, TN, where she met and fell in love with Tim Blankenship. On Oct. 29, 1983 Tim and Kay Lynn were married. Shortly after that, they moved to Adamsville, TN, where they became members of Love & Truth Church and served in the children's ministry from 1991 to 1999. While leading busy lives, Kay and Tim always had a heart for the children of the community. They became foster parents to several children and even saw some of them baptized. Then, along came a blessed event! The Lord sent down his tiniest little angel and they named this beautiful gift Elise Claire. Elise was only 3 years old in 1999 when they were told Kay Lynn had breast cancer. She bravely fought this enemy and for eighteen months Kay Lynn was considered to be in remission, only to find later that the cancer was back. Nonetheless, she felt she would beat this enemy again, enjoying life to the fullest, and never losing the faith that God would heal her. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. Tim, Kay Lynn and Elise moved to Florida to be near Kay's sister Karrolyn and continued seeing specialists there, but to no avail. Then the two families moved to Wisconsin, closer to the Mayo Clinic where Kay went for further testing. She fought the fight and ran the race, and now she is at peace in the arms of God. Kay Lynn is survived by her husband, Tim, her daughter, Elise, her parents, Richard and Ginger Dorman of Hartland, WI, her sister, Kathe Workman and husband, Richard of Blue Spings, MO, her brother, Alan Dorman and wife, Paula of Atlantic Beach, FL, she sister, Karrolyn Booher and husband, Dan of Pewaukee, WI, a grandfather, George Carr of Burbank, CA, her mother and father-in-law, Dan & June Graves of Memphis, TN, her sister-in-law, Pat Hoch of Selmer, TN, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. ........ Have A Great Day! Barbara
