I was interested in the history of Purdy, TN because a relative of mine was Pugh Houston Thrasher who laid out the town of Selmer. I have an article in a genealogy of my family about this event. Pugh Houston Thrasher married Mary Eliza Howard, daughter of Willilam Howard and Elizabeth Ann Jolly Lucus Howard. Howard is my mother's line.
