    3. Appeared in the Independent Appeal Newspaper Wed., July 6, 2005 CHARLES (BO) DONAHOE, 70, of Michie, TN, passed away on June 29, 2005, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. He attended the Michie Church of God of Prophecy, a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers - Local 852, served in the U.S. Army, operated the oldest wrecker service in McNairy County for 47 years, and was a retired used car dealer. Mr. Donahoe was preceded in death by his father, Carl Donahoe. He is survived by his mother, Mattie Donahoe of Michie; his wife, Linda Donahoe; one daughter, Kelly Smith and husband, Tim of Memphis, TN; one son, Mark Donahoe and wife, Angie of Humboldt, TN; one step-daughter, Kristie of Michie; one step-son, Justin of Michie; two sisters, Betty Riley and husband, Bob of Memphis and Patricia Henderson and husband, Jimmy of Corinth, MS; two brothers, Jimmy Donahoe and wife, Ann of Memphis and Bobby Donahoe and wife, Kaye of Michie; and four grandchildren, Megan Smith, Bayley Smith, Fisher Smith, and Harrison Donahoe. Services were at 1 p.m. on Fri., July 1st, at Shackelford Funeral Home in Selmer with William Axley, Roy Bennett, and Robert Smith officiating. Burial followed in the Michie Church of God of Prophecy in Michie. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer were in charge of the arrangements. Any memorials may be directed to The American Cancer Society. ............. OLLIE E. MCINTYRE, 94, of Adamsville, TN, passed away on June 29, 2005, at McNairy Regional Hospital in Selmer, TN. She was a homemaker. Mrs. McIntyre was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Anna Wilson Smith; her husband, J. W. McIntyre; one son, J. W. McIntyre, Jr.; one step-daughter, Mattie Sue McDaniel; one sister, Laura Smith; and one brother, Millard Smith. She is survived by six daughters, Carolyn Austin of Savannah, Marie Bugg of Linden, TN, Ola Flatt of Huntsville, AL, Aletha Henley, Betty Smith, and Linda Smith, all of Stantonville, TN; one son, Douglas McIntyre of Adamsville, TN; one step-son, J. B. McIntyre of Selmer; fourteen grandchildren, seventeen gr-grandchildren, and numerous gr-gr-grandchildren. Services were at 3 p.m. on Fri., July 1st, at Shackelford Funeral Home in Selmer with Roy Davidson officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Vinson Cemetery in Stantonville. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer were in charge of the arrangements. Any memorials may be directed to the West Shiloh Baptist Church Building Fund. ............. HARMON LEWIS EVANS, 74, of Selmer, TN, passed away on June 30, 2005, at his residence. He was a truck driver for the McNairy County Highway Department, a United States Army veteran of the Korean War, and a Baptist in belief. Mr. Evans was preceded in death by his parents, Buford and Ava Hockaday Evans and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Dottie Suer Price Evans; one son, Jeff Evans of Selmer; two brothers, J. W. Evans and Jim Evans, both of Selmer; and one grandchild. Services were at 11 a.m. on Sat., July 2nd, at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel with Charles Castle officiating. Burial followed in the Michie Church of God of Prophecy in Michie. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer were in charge of the arrangements. Any memorials may be directed to The American Cancer Society. ............. JAMES EARL GILMORE, 74, of Eastview, TN, died at his home on June 19, 2005. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Clark Gilmore, after 54 years of marriage, one daughter, Mary Elizabeth "Meg" McCord, a son-in-law, Michael K. McCord, two granddaughters, Megan and Chelsea, all of Memphis, TN, a sister, Joyce Gray and her husband, James Opal Gray of Guys, TN, one sister-in-law, Mary Lou Gilmore of Eastview, TN, the wife of his late brother, Homer Lee Gilmore. Mr. Gilmore was born on September 2, 1930, in Tulsa, OK, to the late Homer R. and Mary Dell Wade Gilmore. He graduated in 1949 from Messick High School in Memphis. He then joined the 8th Air Rescue and was a part of the Pilot Survival School, which was taught in the Rocky Mountains near Reno, NV. His commanding general was General Curtis LeMay. The squad was handpicked for their character and intelligence. After returning home from the Air Force, he moved to Memphis and began a 25-year career as a Customer Service Representative with Memphis Light Gas and Water. He retired in 1980 Events Gifts Shop in Selmer. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Corinth, MS. He was a former member of Christ Church and was honored by the Men's Club for his years of service. Services were at 2 p.m. on Friday at the West Tennessee Veteran's Cemetery at the Rotunda. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, PO Box 1225, Corinth, MS. Forrest Hill South Funeral Home in Memphis, TN, had charge of the arrangements. ............. EVERETT LEONARD, a resident of Selmer, TN and former resident of Fayette County and a United States Veteran, died June 29, 2005, at McNairy Regional Hospital in Selmer where he had been a patient for the past three days. He was 80 years of age and died following an extended illness of several years. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. on Fri., July 1st, at the Peebles Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Rev. Phil Lovelace of Nashville, TN, former paster of the Somerville First Baptist Church, officiating. Internment with military honors was in the Memory Hills Gardens Cemetery on Germantown Road at Bartlett, TN. Pebbles Fayette County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Leonard was born July 14, 1924, in McNairy County, the son of the late Connie and Gladys Isbell Leonard. He was educated in the public schools and served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was married May 17, 1958, to the former Frances Jewell Hodge, who survives. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard were former residents of the Somerville and LaGrange areas before moving to Selmer nine years ago. He was a Baptist throughout most of his life and was a member of the Selmer First Baptist Church at the time of his death. He enjoyed fishing and hunting in earlier years, and his a special fondness for his pet dog Crickett who was his constant companion during his lengthy illness. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Donna Kay of Memphis; two sons, Michael Ray Leonard of Memphis and Willia L. Hodge of Moline, IL; and one grandson, David Wayne Hodge of Moline. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Daniel Brian Hodge. The family requests that memorials be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 or to the Building Fund of the Selmer First Baptist Church. .............end Have A Great Day!
