Appeared in the Independent Appeal Newspaper, Wed., July 13, 2005 SOLOMAN LEE BELLINGER, 28, of Bethel Springs, TN and formerly of Warren Center, PA, died on Sat., July 2, 2005, as the result of a motor vehicle accident in Pike Township, Bradford County, PA. He was born on April 21, 1977, in Binghampton, NY, the son of Stephen and Sherri Ganow Bellinger of Bethel Springs. Soloman attended Northeast Bradford High School in Orwell Township, PA, and McNairy Central High School in Selmer, TN. He worked with his father as a General Contractor prior to joining the Tennessee National Guard in 2002. He was serving as a specialist with the guard at the time of his death. On October 20, 2003, he married the former Rita Marie Wilson of Bethel Springs. He was a member of the Bethel Springs Church of God where he was involved in the youth Ministry. Soloman loved the Lord, his family and friends, and enjoyed listening to music. Other than his wife and parents, he is survived by two brothers, Seth Reed Bellinger and his wife, Erin, and Skyler Morgan Bellinger, all of Bethel Springs; his maternal grandparents, Parker and Martha Ganow of Bethel Springs; paternal grandmother, Janice Bellinger of Warren Center, PA; paternal step-grandmother, Marge Bellinger of Owego, NY; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Sharon Wilson of Bethel Springs; several aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Donald Bellinger, and aunts, Dawn and Belinda Ganow. Funeral services were on Sat., July 9th, at 3 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer, TN. Interment followed in the Refuge Cemetery with members of the Tennessee National Guard according full military honors. Buck Wagoner and Blake Rudd officiating at funeral services. JOHNNY GERALD JAGGERS of Adamsville, TN, passed away on July 4, 2005. He was retired from the Tennessee Department of Human Services in Nashville, TN. He was co-owner of the Patio Coiffure with long-time friend, Richard Prince. After moving back to Adamsville, he opened Sunrise Market and Grill and managed it with Geary Staton, also retired from Nashville. He was preceded in death by his father, M. D. Jaggers, his mother, Lilly Hughes Jaggers, a sister, Jimmie Barham and a brother, Denvered Jaggers. He is survived by one brother, Larry Jaggers of Adamsville, TN and one sister, Linda Rhea of Nashville, TN; nephews, Jeff Barham and Dakota Jaggers; nieces, Connie Phillips, Sherry Romines, Sandra Lusk, Debra Cunningham, and Devan Jaggers. As a world traveler, he has left many friends all over the world. Services were held at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Adamsville at 3 p.m. on July 6th, with burial in Adamsville Cemetery. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Adamsville were in charge of the arrangements. ............ WILEY "WYLIE" ALLISON, 70, of Enville, TN, passed away on July 5, 2005, at his home. He was born in McNairy County near Leapwood, TN and Good Hope, TN and grew up in Savannah, TN and Leapwood. He was the son of the late Millard and Mamie Crumby Allison. He attended school at Hickory Flatt and Leapwood. He did sawmill work and worked on the farm. He was married to Fronia Spence Massey in 1986 and they made their home near Enville. Mr. Allison was preceded in death by his wife, Fronia Clayton Massey Allison. He is survived by two sisters, Doshie Smith of Adamsville and Myrtle Landreth of Selmer, TN, and two brothers, Allie Allison of Purdy, TN and James Allison of Adamsville. Services were held at 2 p.m. on Thurs., July 7th, at Casey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Don Lipford officiating. Burial followed in the Milledgeville Cemetery. Casey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. ............ MARTY D. JONES, 44, passed away on June 26, 2005, at the Henderson County Community Hospital in Lexington, TN. Funeral services were held June 28th, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with Bro. Randall Woods officiating. Burial was in the Lexington Cemetery. Mr. Jones, an employee with the City of Lexington Gas Department, was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lexington and enjoyed motorcross racing with his son, Bryan. Due to his illness, he was an advocate of tissue/organ donation. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Malvern Jones; grandparents, Bryan & Cynthia Jones and Rayford & Beulah Russom of Selmer; and many other relatives in the Selmer area. Survivors include his wife, Tammy Jones; his daughter, Kelley Brooke Buttrey and husband, Brandon; his son, Bryan Jones; a step-son, Robert "Bubba" Owens, III; two grandchildren, Zach and Josh Buttrey; his mother, Mrs. Martha Green and step-father, Charles; and a sister, Donna Williams and husband, Jerry of Murfreesboro, TN ............ ETHEL E. MCCANN MURRAY, 91, of Selmer, TN, passed away on July 9, 2005, at McNairy Regional Hospital in Selmer. She was a member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church, attended Purdy University for 12 years, played piano for the church for many years, and was a seamstress. Mrs. Murray was preceded in death by her parents by her parents, John Moses and Gazelle Boyd McCann; her husband, Wesley Murray; one sister, Ruby Bobo; two brothers, Bill and John McCann; one grandson, Jon Christopher Carroll. She is survived by two daughters, Janice Carroll and Phoebe Prather of Selmer; three sisters, Ernestine Rowand of Selmer, and Gladys McKenzie and Colleen Tyson, both of Litchfield, IL; five grandchildren, Mandy Carroll, Mary Suzanne King, Regina Jackson, and Ronald Prather, all of Selmer, and Lori Prather McKewen of Deltona, FL; and eight gr-grandchildren, Gracie Yade Grissom, Johnathon King, Barry Prather, Brad Prather, Cole Prather, and Wesley Ross Prather, all of Selmer, and Kevin McKewen and Nian McKewen of Florida. Services will be at 10 a.m. on Wed., July 13th, at Bethesda Presbyterian Church with Joe McKewen officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethesda Cemetery in Selmer. MARYANN HARLOS YEOMAN, 62, of Selmer, TN, passed away on July 6. 2005, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. She was a homemaker and Catholic in faith. Ms. Yoemans is survived by her mother, Kathy Furen of Hull, GA; two daughters, Debbie Adams of Pickwick Dam, TN, and Tiffany Underwood of Selmer; one son, Gary Underwood of Bradenton, FL; one sister, Pam Howard of Hull, GA; and six grandchildren. Services were at 1 p.m. on Sat., July 9th, in the Shackelford Chapel in Savannah, TN. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Adamsville were in charge of the arrangements. ............ JEHU EVERETT HENLEY, 91, of Bethel Springs, TN, passed away on June 30, 2005, at Lynnfield Place. He was a former decon and member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, worked in the Dupont defense plant near Millington during WWII, retired from Western Mental Health after twenty years, and was married to Bernice Ardena Causey on June 5, 1938. Mr. Henley was preceded in death by his parents, William Rufus and Olga Phillips Henly; one sister, Willie May Sampey; three brothers, Cornell, James, and Lew Wallace Henley; and one grandson, William Scott Henley. He is survived by two sons, David Henley and wife, Nancy, of Burleson, TX and Carl Everett and wife, Joan, of Hillsboro, OR; six grandchildren, Christi Diane Sweet, Matthew Shane Hanley, Kelly Elizabeth Fowler, Susan Kathleen Henley, Paula Henley Middleton, and Elizabeth Anne Richardson; and eight gr-grandchildren. Services were at 1 p.m. on Wed., July 6th, at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church with Mike Holloway officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Bethel Springs.
