We are now taking orders for our second edition of the Purdy Historical calendar. It is a community calendar with 12 pictures of Purdy. At this time we do not know what the pictures will be - we are collecting them. This is the last year it will be just Purdy, as pictures are very scarce. Next year it will be county-wide. The cost is $11.00 for me to ship it. You can have 5 listing with one calendar. Most people that live outside McNairy County, put a Memorial listing for ancestor that lived in McNairy County - usually their birthday. This project is sponsored by the Purdy Ruritan Club and our first big project is to build a community center. We have purchased the land. Other projects include cleaning the graveyard, putting up signs, etc where the courthouse stood and other historical features. We also do the regular Ruritan projects as road cleanup, helping the schools and people in need. Let me know if your interested.
