    3. Hi y'all. I would like to connect with anyone researching the McGee family in McNairy Co. I am trying to find info on the parents and siblings of my great grandmother, Chapel Bethel McGee b. February 28, 1891 d. July 1977. She married Chester A. Emmons, the son of William Wesley Emmons and Lina A. Hopkins. I have been told that Chapel's father was Frank McGee. I found a Frank McGee and family listed in the Liberty Cemetery records of McNairy Co. According to the birthdate listed, this Frank would have been about the right age for her father. Frank McGee 20 May 1863 - 23 May 1942 Addie McGee 1909 - 1912 Cora McGee 1 December 1879 - 5 March 1950 Inf of Frank 1916 Lillie McGee 1908-1979 Medie McGee 26 July 1873 - 25 January 1904 I have a family photo of the McGees circa 1893. The only one I can identify for certain is my great grandmother who would have been two years old at the time. Perhaps some of the other descendants could help identify the rest of the family. I would love to learn more about this line of my family. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Be well. Tracy

    1. [TNMCNAIR-L] Ingle
    2. Hi Everyone; Thanks for the quick response from Gail Forsythe and Jacque. First to answer Jacque request. I don't have any information or the name Harrit Shepherd in my data base. I did have a few Shepherd's but none were married to Noah Davis. Sorry. Gail, there seems to be a question about John's middle name you had Shephard and I had Sheppard. Looking back through his family line this is what I have found. George Ingle b. 1735 Germany d. abt 1799 Guilford Co, NC m. Anna Margaret Clapp They had sixteen children. Two the those were George and Adam. Don't know who George married, but he had a son named John b. 1805. Adam b. 1783 Guilford Co, NC. d. 1854 McNairy Co, TN married Maria Shepherd b. 1788 Guilford Co, NC d. McNairy Co, TN. daughter of William Shaver Shepherd III d. 1815 NC and Anna Maria Starr d. NC. Both Adam and Maria are buried unmarked graves in Ingle's cemetery near Mt. Gilead. They had six children. One of those was Delilah Ann Ingle b. 12 Oct 1814 Guilford Co, NC d. 26 Oct 1912 who married her cousin John Ingle b. 1805 Guilford Co, NC. They were married 2 Jul 1829 Guilford Co, NC. They moved to Tennessee about 1848. They had nine children including John Shepherd Ingle. I believe the correct spelling is Shepherd in memory of his grandmothers maiden name. I could be wrong. But it seems like it could fit. Thanks for the generation on the Rachel Cox. I have no children for John and Rachel. If you would mine sharing, I would appreicate it very much. Who was Ella Sparks, I have her also being married to John Shepherd Ingle? I hope I have cleared up some questions. If there is any information I can provide for you, please ask. Thanks again. Keep searching and good luck Bob Ingle BIKHAWAII@aol.com
